I said I wasn't happy with the Kane signing when he joined and got slated and been totally underwhelmed by him. You'd think he's David Beckham the way some went on about his crossing.

Dabo is much better. Eccles probably is too

If he has the attitude people reckon and the arrogance he showed at QPR can't imagine robins and more likely ADI will be sorting him out as the won't want a bad egg disrupting the Great spirit in the squad.

There is some real creative thinking on here 😂 People dream stuff up and convince themselves it is true. 😂

Some people obviously have too much spare time and nothing to fill it with, except delusional fantasies.

But we knew that when we signed him? Unless the plan all along was to sell him for a quick buck

He was likely never brought in as a long term option. The fact he was put on a 2-year contract pretty much proves that.

Management teams sometimes have to take a chance on lesser quality players just to fulfil a role and act as a stopgap for a year or two - giving them time to either identify someone new, or to allow a player such as Eccles to perhaps grow into the role and stake their claim.

Kane has a better end product than Dabo

Does he? I’d say it’s marginal.
Granted First few games Kane looked like Beckham but then his crossing became woeful.
Dabo, when fit, is the better player. I think he just hasn’t really had a sustained period of being injury free since we got in the championship.
Which of course is a problem in itself…

The stats show that Dabo has an extremely poor level of end product. 5 assists and 1 goal in over 100 games for us. Only 2 assists and no goals in almost 60 games in the championship.

Kane had a good spell at the start but tanked by the end. Unless Dabo kicks on this season it won't be long before we should look to replace both of them.

Dabo was fantastic in League one but let’s be honest, if we’re serious about progressing neither of them are the answer.

Dabo was one of only a few from the title winning league that I had no concerns about stepping up a division.
I’m underwhelmed since then, but injuries have stopped him having a run of games whilst fit to perform.
Kane is a competent player at this level, but nothing more. Dabo is still the better player (in my opinion), but his form was poor last year at times so he didn’t deserve to start ahead of Kane.
Just need to keep Dabo fit - not easy.

The step up from top of league one to a good consistent upper first half of the Championship is pretty big.
I still consider him one of my favourite players but the team’s progression comes first.

Bright has more skill than O'Hare, but you wouldn't swap them.

Bit silly as Kane is more likely to play and be fit than Dabo and there’s no evidence bright has any skill at this level

Yeah due to his lack of pace or ability to take players on he developed a habit of crossing really deep, which is incredibly easy to defend against if you don't have forwards with an arial presence - which we don't.

We play a quick (counter) attacking style, with focus on getting the ball forward with the purpose of Gyokeres pulling into a channel and getting 1 on 1 with a defender. O'Hare presses and wins the ball back high up the pitch, Hamer plays progressive passes very quickly or carries the ball himself at pace, Sheaf plays beautiful and accurate longer balls into feet or space. It's asking an awful lot of wingbacks to be regularly involved in goals and assists like that.

Wingbacks get more goals and assists in teams that play possession football with a slower build up, where they have time to get to the back post or overlap to the byline where there will be bodies in the box to aim at. Dabo could do more in terms of arriving late to the box but he needs an injury free season where he can play every week and get the match fitness to get up and down for 90 minutes. Kane just doesn't have the attributes, or natural tendencies, that quite suit our style.

I’m going to whisper this in the ear of Mrs CK1968 whilst making mad passionate love to her….this has the potential to take our sex life to the next level. Thank you

Agree. Dabo is a low end championship player. He's not top 6

Neither are we. 3 games in if we lose everyone will be saying relegation. We beat a couple of teams in friendlies who are all in leagues lower than us except Forest and people saying it’s Wembley here we come
