I said last season I didn't rate sheaf , turns out he's a good player .
I put up the PPG of the team with Sheaf in the starting 11 and it's the lowest of him Allen and hamer .. basically we have a higher PPG without him
People were using that argument to slander godden , those same people are on here defending walker .
This forum is full of people who know nothing about football
No one “slandered” Godden. This is a tired debate but the main issue was extending an aging forwards contract beyond next season which is utterly pointless.
Walker hasn’t really played any game time for us this season and was axed after scoring in consecutive games which is hardly a confidence builder
His goal scoring record is prior to that very good. He has reasonable ability with his back to goal and in the air - he’s quicker than the other forwards excluding Gyokeres - and he’s prior record is strong
Fans for whatever reason haven’t taken to him - and they haven’t as we also see with Bidwell - so it’s an uphill struggle
We should keep him and see what he does next season
Don't equate everybody however. It's perfectly possible to think Walker's a decent striker, yet also appreciate Godden has his merits, has shown punch in front of goal this season, and not be too worried about a three year deal (what pace does he have to lose, after all?).You said had we played godden we'd have not been in with a chance of the playoffs ..
You've said several times we win more without him .
These same arguments can be now used to sheaf using the same logic , which we all know is nonsense after all
These are YOUR own arguments grendel ..well , yours and 3 ir 4 others
You said had we played godden we'd have not been in with a chance of the playoffs ..

With Walker on Pompey’s bench and the news of Hilssner’s ACL injury the room to maneuver in the summer isn’t looking good. Kelly and Waghorn are meant to be among the highest earners too…
Again this argument starts again.
I don’t think if we’d played godden against Fulham we’d have won as I think he’d have started and Gyokeres wouldn’t.
It isn’t really the point though - Walker has scored only 19 less league goals in his career than godden and he’s 5 years younger - stats are a funny thing
Godden is a superior striker , i don't think that's in any doubt at all anymore
i think it is as it’s only this season that’s ever been the case
Not in the 11 I would think that’s Kane at the timeAnd AN Other whose not in the first team apparently
i think it is as it’s only this season that’s ever been the case
He's also 80 league goals behind godden
Is he? Not according to soccerbase?
The same soccer base that has godden as 0.56 goals per game and Walker 0.28 ?
Well using soccer base its still 70 goals
Aren’t you including Ebbsfleet?

Tyker Walker

Moving on ??
he’s only scored 19 more than Walker in the league and is 5 years older
fact or fiction?
This is becoming almost like my Martin Keogh moment on GMK

I don’t know why this is such a debate.
it’s a difference of opinion and that’s it really
And also grendel , are you going west brom today ?
No and I’m not sure what that has to do with anything
Nor me , its just something you use against Danny Thomas that I'm using against youas if it makes you're opinion less meaningful
I’m not going either if that makes either of you feel better
Who the fuck is Martin Keogh?
I’m not going either if that makes either of you feel better
