I would, why take down all those signs if that was a possiblity. My money is on that Alexander Stadium in Brum

Fingers crossed.

A rugby league team moving there this year isn’t there?

Although there seemed to be a true playing surface last night, it looked pretty brown in places. If rugby is played on there again without a proper re-lay then it's likely to be churned to bits.

It will interesting to see what the pitch looks like after the 2 ladies games are played at the weekend.

I know we at Cov don’t have a lot of love for the whole Wasps package but they were always going to re-emerge somewhere, in the Rugby Union world they are about as big you get, certain it won’t be here, if there was to be rugger played at the CBS why not invite Cov Rugby, reason, there’s no solid support for club rugby. I’d think ladies football has more chance of being played at CBS reckon a half decent ladies team could get around 3/4/5000 screaming girls looking to spend their dosh. Right up Fraser groups street.

There’s plenty of football/rugby clubs sharing grounds difference is the pitches are maintained properly, it quite obviously wasn’t here.

I reckon they'll end up at Sixways, can't see Stourbridge filling the place as the members seem against the rebranding/relocating of their first team.

Wasps surely won’t play back in Coventry again apart from away at Cov Rugby……not with the legacy of debt they left in the City and to CCFC. They’re just not welcome apart from by a few glory seeking dick heads from South Warwickshire and even they were only attracted previously to the prospect of Premiership rugby locally .
How the fuck have they been allowed to re-emerge at Championship level anyway…. Surely they should have had to start way below that.

They are still deluding themselves that it was only a tiny minority of locals that detested them. Maybe a tiny minority of the whole population but a very healthy majority of fans of the City or Cov.

Just can't understand why they'd come back

- No top level, premiership rugby to offer neutrals
- Now in the same league as the local rugby team
- All mention of them has now been removed from the CBS so the ground will be even less welcoming for fans

Surely it's not sustainable? Why would any local rugby fan choose Wasps over Coventry?

Saying all that, wouldn't be surprised if it does happen

Wonder if something is afoot with the naming rights?

I wasn't going to put anything on here but fuck it, I heard on Saturday that that is in fact the case and we will be owned by Ashley within 12 months.
Source has a mixed track record but has got a few big calls right over the last few years.

Not shooting the messenger but I don't get why Ashley would do it in this long winded way through a middle man nobody's heard of instead of going directly in himself.

I totally agree. But even without the Ashley angle there's a lot about the king takeover that doesn't add up.

I think King is kind of legit. I think he knows Ashley wants in, and he’s a commodities trader, buy low sell high.

he knows Joy - probably got a cut price deal on the club, I reckon he’s trying to flip it

He is at least making us look a bit more professional in the process which is appreciated regardless of his motives. Just amazing how much SISU had left it to rot that we're grateful to be appointing more than one scout and to have a proper head of marketing.

Would seem odd to have a stadium notionally sponsored by CBS but with its branding secondary to Fraser's. It is Ashley though so who knows.

Priming the club for a sale. SISU left us in a mess, wanted a certain value that possibly wasn’t obtainable. They’ve ran out of money, and King has possibly jumped in to tidy it up to make a value sale to Ashley.

That’s my take on it.

Still don't get why Ashley would use a middle man for this but he is the billionaire to be fair.
