Dont disagree at all but what concerns me is that Lampard can only deliver a couple of “promising” performances.
I don't think anyone can judge Lampard on any game so far tbh. There isn't a single person that could've come in and improved this squad of players. I won't be judging Lampard on shit games with shit players, I'll judge him on what happens this window and during the summer. If Doug King doesn't back Lampard in both windows with cash and let him bring in the players he wants, then frankly, we need SISU IN again. Next season will show the true Lampard and what he brings. We can't knock him yet for not turning around the unturnable.

Again , finished 9th with these players

Without O'Hare and Palmer unfortunately this season. They were two of our best players during the run that took us to 9th.

We won't be too far off that this season. Every attacking stat suggests we are well below where we should be.

He was a key part of the run which put us in 9th.

O'Hare even more so.

Two players who were mentally strong alongside some other experience in the changing room. It's clearly not the same team. On paper it's better, in reality it's lacking leadership and confidence.

I just completely disagree about Palmer as would most I'm sure , he offered fuck all defensively or offensively either tbh

4 goals in all comps last season

I'd have him now though!

He wasn't afraid of trying things. You cannot say that about the team that couldn't break down Cardiff or Millwall last week.

A team that finished 9th. Even then though you could see the defence wasn't good enough. That was glaringly obvious last season. In fact, I'd say the main reason we finished 9th and not higher like the previous season was our defence. We went from golden glove for clean sheets to not keeping any clean sheets. So what does Robins do?? Signs them all again! Bonkers. Then take away 2 of our most influential players in COH and Palmer, replaced them with the likes of BTA and Rudoni. Oh, and don't forget that Simms clearly had a "blip" in his career and has now gone back to resuming normal service. But let's cling on to the fact that a handful of players dragged us to 9th and say that because of that, the current squad IS good enough.

We haven’t got any better since Lampard was appointed, we just had a very fortunate run of fixtures. We’re so bad to watch at the moment.
We’ve been bad to watch since after the wolves game, keep putting out the same players, keep getting the same results, Lampard knows who’s good enough and who isn’t, Im very confident the signings we make will be exactly what we need, just look at who he managed to get in at derby, he knows the job he’s got, he’ll sort it

So it wasn't adi viveash and Lawrence then .. and until the last 6 games of last season we had the leagues 5th best defence , we didn't have the squad to Sustain league and Cup.

Palmer is shite , cal is a miss sure

We finished 6 points worse off than the previous season with a cup run included having lost Vik and hamer

I actually think that we only differ in our opinion re the overall influence of Adi & Lawrence .

I don’t think Palmer is a very good player at all (check the spreadsheet) but even he had his moments and they’ve been replaced with……nothing.

We had Wilson in goal instead of Collins.
And we had the experience of Fadz, Godden, and Kelly in the squad and on the training pitch,
we also had the creativity of Palmer, and for a short while we had the pleasure of O'hare.

Then there was the small matter of DL and AV pulling the strings, and a motivated MR.
And we didn't have all the nonsence backroom minions that DK brought in.

So all in all I'd say there's a whole fucking world of difference from last season.
And when you look at it, and actually asses it, it's hardly surprising that'll we are struggling considering what we've lost.

Collins played more for us last season than Wilson. McFadzean also left in January.

Rudoni has basically matched Palmers season total in the league hasn't he already

Fadz left last Jan after making 15 appearances.

However it makes no difference to my point.
If you strip the club of so much experience quality and knowledge, in such a short space of time you get players that look like rabbits caught in headlights. And that's exactly what we've got. Our best players have lost form, and we've got players arguing amongst themselves, which would never of been tolerated before.

We're supposed to have brought in better coaches aren't we so we should begin to see improvement at some point.
What I would say is let's give them a bit longer and see what happens.
As FL keeps pointing out, the fixture list means they've been limited in how much coaching/training they've been able to do.

Yeah and then went in the transfer window.
So he was here till this time last season then.

As I said.

His loss along with DL, and the subsequent fall out between MR and AV, followed by the loss of Godden, Kelly, O'hare, Palmer etc and the introduction of the ipad brigade, has resulted in what we have now.

That's not going to be fixed easily in one or even 2 transfer windows imo.

So to be clear , lampard gets a 2 window pass
