Why didn't agyei get a look in today? After his debut at Bradford we all thought he would be the one banging in the goals for us.

Because Mowbray made an embarassing sub at half time and then had to use another to correct it. Then the injury.

He is an oppositions dream. Lots of possession, slows the game, dinky flighted passes that are easily swallowed up. He was average and would never have featured if we had fleck and vincelot.

Stephenson in his cameo was better.
He was all over the Oldham midfielders today, they had no idea how to deal with him.

Bizarre substitutions and an implausible explanation on CWR.

What did he say?
I'll be on listen again later, some guff about young players not adjusting in midfield, well it was his stupid decision to put Jones in centre mid wasn't it, I could have told you that would never work!

He scored one goal and thought he'd be the new Adam Armstrong. Adam Armstrong he certainly isn't.

Bigi, Stephenson, Willis and RCC all class today. The others just below average.
TM gives us a clue when he says after that we won't be scoring many goals this year unless someone starts to shine.
FFS

Well, he has brought in 5 centre forwards and re-signed Tudgay. If he hadn't wasted a sub he probably could have brought another on.

It is the same as last year, tinkering with lineups for the sake of it.

He needs to have the in training every day this week for a full day, none of this getting excited about staying late until 12.45 for fuck sake.

Every fan in that ground could see the change he made at half time was stupid, nobody in their right mind would think Jodi Jones could do a job in centre midfield. Why didn't he just bring Stevenson on then?

Has he been give a proper run at striker since his goal?
You're asking the wrong person, I don't pick the team. I'd imagine that if mowbray truly believed he'd score goals for fun like Armstrong, he'd be no. 1 name on the team sheet and playing as striker week in week out, like Armstrong did.

I don't think Mowbray has a clue either.

Today you only have to look at

Tudgay playing before one of the loan forwards

And that ridiculous substitute at half time.

Today the blame is in tm's lap.

We had the momentum at half time ripped Away from us when we lined up with one central midfielder from the second half.

Stevenson was fucking class today when he came on, gahdzev was dreadful again and should be benched for Stevenson.

Bigi was like a City makelelli

At half time they brought the fat Croft on to play in midfield whereas we took a midfielder off.

They were walking through and it was a good job their shooting was poor.

He brings Stevenson on and he plays really well, he was the one running the ball forward and driving at them.

Sordell was back out playing as a winger, he was left back sometimes.

Mowbrays interview on CWR was very bizarre. Going on about talking to the squad about how they played at the end of last season - there's hardly any players from last season here!

Going on about Armstrong, Murphy and Kent and how he didn't get the players he wanted to come in this season on loan as they went to the Championship and are now scoring loads. If all his targets ended up at a higher level doesn't that indicate he was aiming too high?
We could't play 4 at the back before today because it would have confused the players as they wouldn't know what to do.
Look a different team in training.
There was more bizarre stuff but those were the stand outs to me.

The most worrying thing was it didn't sound like he had much of a clue how to improve things.

Shame he wasn't a ukulele, cos then he could have played alongside the banjo we couldn't hit an arse with!

This is a concern for me. Pretty much every game the opposition make a tactical change at half time and we don't seem to have any answer.

He has been aiming too high and has lost the gamble. I could be a football manager and just cry about losing out to teams in leagues above but it doesn't change anything.

He signed 2 strikers very early on in the transfer window also.
