15% of profit

So surely it's better to maybe sell pies than definitely not at all?

By "being paid" I mean they take 85% of CCFC F+B profits, so it depends who's missing out from the corporate sales, CCFC or Compass. If it's CCFC, they may have told Compass not to bother about corporate. Like I said, I'm talking hypothetically. I await the full story explaining why this has come about :)

Why would they tell them not to bother if they just take a cut of profit?

How do you calculate profit? Gross profit? How do you prove what was bought in? Whenever I had to pay a percentage, it was on turnover - dead easy and no arguments.
Ah I might be wrong, somebody will correct no doubt

Depends on if CCFC have to pay on any losses? If Compass lost £500, do CCFC have to cover that loss as it's CCFC's event? (I'm assuming not, but I don't know the details of the deal)

Just seems odd that Compass would choose to lose out on potential earnings, when surely the money earned in the concourses offset the costs of running the corporate section on CCFC matchday.

I used to do corporate and didn't think it was worth it, so stopped a couple of seasons ago

I meant how much more in general, as in how it makes you feel.

When CCFC win, it's drinks on me, £500 on red, 7 home shirts, and maximum chicken cottage.

A loss, and it's a crate of lager to drown my sorrows ;)

Mind you, the highlighted bit may be below corporate :sorry: ;)

I think the point is lost here. It's not just about pies. It's about the match-day experience which is the worst I can ever remember. After a week at work we all need to unwind and look forward to the match at the weekend. Not anymore. There's always a drama waiting around the corner.

It is in Wasps interests for the CCFC corporate experience to be poor. It's all part of undermining CCFC and then they do their sales pitch about excellent corporate hospitality to former CCFC sponsors. I follow a number of companies or individuals on Twitter who were well known supporters of CCFC that are now all over Wasps. It was a well known tactic of theirs to actively contact former CCFC sponsors and corporate customers. Surely trying to entice someone to switch allegiance is easier if one offering is good and the other is crap??

It's probably all in the small print of the contract, Compass will need to sell a set amount
Of hot food For it to still be viable to take on the staff needed, we have probably dipped
Below what's needed. Just another sign of the club shrinking.
Can they not let people walk round to the nearest Kiosk?
no im pretty sure you can't Nick, there's no internal (link) walkway between the corporate
Stand and the North stand "oh wait" a minute, the North stands already closed.
Surely you wouldn't expect Grendel and his merry band of OAPs to walk a full circuit of
The ground for a pie would you, even if it were possible. ;)

Even more reason that we need to be away from that shitehole if we ever needed one.

Correct and it also highlights some of the devious tactics and rubbish going on behind the scenes every day that most of us don't know about and that CCFC keep quiet about.

What he said.

Regardless of how we got here; the politics, the silly posturing, the huge mistakes made - we have to look forward. I hope and pray (as much as an atheist can), that someone takes the club on, and when they do they realise that the club needs a home, a proper home that feels like it's ours and where we aren't glorified squatters. Than can never be the Ricoh Arena, regardless of what deal they do to eek out a few extra % from pie sales. We need to move on, and wipe our feet on the way out.

What about the kiosk by block 1 and 2?

Would be interesting to know what else there was going on like that.

I would wait until we no the reason.
I'd think it's more likely that we can't attract a sufficient number of fans to make it worthwhile.

Never been that end TBH Nick, wouldn't that be away fans only?
there used to be one over there, to the left of directors box if looking from the other side. It might not be there now as it was a while ago.

Where else will the non corp people in that stand go?

I know that when the club were there first time around that they were being charged very high service charges on the utilities and phones. Way over what they should have been paying but had to lump it. Rumours were that ACL were inflating the costs. Also the club shop and offices was locked up by ACL after the last game of the season one year giving the staff no choice but to go home when they should have been open. Loads of dirty tricks gone on for a long time.

Didn't ACL get found guilty of overcharging rates? To the tune of £500,000. Think they were ordered to pay it back.

I remember something about thousands for using the tannoy or something like that? Like silly money.

Don't forget the sneaky tax thing too ;)

I don't know, never sat over there, only been in Singers bar before the games.

They could cut out the 'orange boys' (stewards), raiding the private doors to the food outlets @ the end of half time, that's gonna make them even more grumpy.
It's actually quite humorous to watch them as they emerge with pies stuffed down their fronts,
oh shit i might have rumbled them, & that would affect the 15%

Nick, remember how angry you get when people chat unsubstantiated shit with no

It isn't unsubstantiated is it?

As for the tax thing I mentioned it was public about paying rates or tax for 24/7/365 wasn't it?

The tannoy stuff was on here, I also put "something like that" so it may have not been the exact tannoy but something similar.

Hmm, not very specific there Nick.:)

This is how it works.
With respect to Wasps CA stated that they have had talks but due to the way Wasps business model is constructed it was very difficult for them to give the club what it needs. This he stated was not due to intransigence or vindictiveness from Wasps but simply a business reality - the Compass deal means that out of every £1.00 70p goes straight to the Compass joint venture company leaving 30p which is split 50/50 meaning that for every £1 spent by a City fan the club only gets 15p. This gave the club £72k last year - which to be brutal is £72k for no outlay or cost so it almosts covers our rent! He syas they are still trying to negotiate but it is very difficult - whilst we may like to believe we are a big fish if you look at the facts £100k rent, £400k food and beverage (before costs etc) bit of parking revenue - in the greater scheme of things (unpalatable as it may seem) it would appear that Wasps could survive without us so CA not in a great bargaining position. Is the BPA a bluff to put pressure on Wasps to do a deal? Is it a sop to fob off the Football League to show we are doing something about a permanent ground? At this moment in time I am personally prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they are serious about it and if it makes financial sense, will fit on the site, logistical obstacles can be overcome then having a smaller city centre based ground would be great. However the biggest obstacle I forsee is that to make such a complex scheme really work it would need wholehearted council support and the relationship between the parties is not good to say the least and not sure if a simple leadership change is enough to alter this. For the time being I am happy to keep an open mind about it.
