Totally agree with everyone that Taveras will be miles off. Not even close to playing this season.

However, I do always look back to when we were forced to throw Callum Wilson on for that first game of the Sixfields season away at Crawley and the outrage from Cov fans that we had to play him. We got lucky with him.
It's his 21st birthday tomorrow, would be a great present if he came off the bench to score the winner.

Exactly. There is no hype. Just a few posters commenting on the fact we don't have many/any other choices.

Exactly this, especially if we go two up top at home.

The problem is Waghorn is a linkup striker with no match fitness and Tavares is a completely untested rookie.

If Gyo isn’t scoring then we aren’t scoring now. So many games to come too.

They caught it early - I felt like a fraud. I was in hospital for 3-4 days before they did it
So what I mean is I had it out. Came out 2 days after and was exercising about a week after coming out. So maybe 2 weeks in total. Good point sick boy. Was well impressed by my treatment. Out of hours dr then a and e and then back in to uhcw. I’m always treated brilliantly in hospital I don’t know why

Fk me 3 days ago everyone was wanking themselves silly that Walker was leaving as he was 'useless'. Now Godden is out and suddenly Walker was the messiah and we should never have let him go!

Yeah I rate Waghorn and actually think he could be a key player in a front two. But he doesn’t look like being prolific and him up top on his own supported by COH and Allen screams brewer’s droop.

Thankfully we’ve got Gyo who looked sharp against P’boro and I think will find his scoring boots again.

Shipley looked sharp againt Peterborough 😉 would like to see Vik back with Waghorn who I feel allowed Gyo to really flourish

We have Hamer, O'hare and own goals to count on...PUSB

There seems a reluctance to play him. He’s played 3 minutes our last 2 league games since his assist against Huddersfield

Managing him carefully (and missed training time due to Covid isolation), but that suggests he would be nowhere near ready to play significant time.

I love Rose but if that means Fadz back in the middle without pissing anyone off I’d take that as a win TBH. He’s not just a very solid CB he’s our biggest threat at corners.

Think he's been carrying something. Will see tomorrow I guess. Hopefully we have Dabo back in the fold too.

Jodi Jones is being overlooked here. He’s perfectly capable of playing off Gyok.
More likely to see him coming on in games initially
Tavares has been training with the first team
Early days but he needs to show more personality in sessions before he gets his chance I suspect

What does a burst appendix feel like? Is it a really bad belly ache? It’s how I imagine.

They caught mine just before it burst, but the only hint I had was I couldn’t fart and it felt like trapped wind. Turned out it was inflamed and blocking my bowels.
