So, anyway. Assuming that it wasn’t staged (which I don’t actually think it was personally) I’d have slapped him for saying it if I was Will Smith.

I thought resigning from the academy was quite the gesture but it just means he can't vote on awards, unless anything else is done he can still turn up to accept them and dropkick whoever's on stage before calling himself a canoe of emotion or whatever.
