That's probably because Andrea Leadsom lives in Northampton...she is actually a really nice person and very down to earth.. She Was originally going to back boris but gove scuppered boris,so she took her chance .

I hope she gets it. Gove is a creep and Boris was meant to be going for PM but for reasons no one knows really he isn't standing so yes leadsom saw and gap and went for it and guess what she is in with a good shout. Fair play.

Fresh face = unknown. Brexit = caused this crisis. Speaks well = Most politicians do ( that's their Job in Parliament). We need an election to decide who is going to lead us out of this crisis. If she is so good, the tories will win and she will have a parliamentary mandate for brexit.

We are not in crisis. Most countries in the EU are at crisis level or not far off though. Crisis will be when Juncker gets his federal Europe and we lose all rights.

So basically you and others have no proof whatsoever. It's people character assassination because some people don't want her in. So they make up some piddly little thing about her CV just so gullible people like you go oh yeah she is false.
She has come out and denied these claims very vigorously, what else can she do. so you believe all the stories you want but at the end of the day she hasn't been caught out because she is still running and therefore she hasn't lied because if she had then she would have to pull out of the race due to lying. She is an honest working person alright politician so she will have some faults but that's life.
It's no secret more mps want Theresa May so all this is is just a few people trying to bend the truth slightly to suit. Sorry to break it to you but she is genuine just like Theresa May and may the best women win.

Where is this emergency budget? Where is the second Scottish refendum? Where is the interest rates rising? (Decreased yesterday) where is the next world war? I also saw all the big banks HSBC etc sign up yesterday to keeping in London. Another massive lie.

What crisis? There isn't one ffs. The most significant thing that has happened is the pound has dropped. Which just helps exporters and we don't get much for our pound for a short while. Oh big crying crisis time hey.
Think you should be a little more respectful when Greece actually are in a crisis and can't repay debts this month again and youth employment is over 50%. People rioting outside parliament and the whole country in discontent. That's a crisis Martcov.

You do realise right that an administrative job in the front office of an investment bank doesn't mean she bought flowers for his wife and typed a few letters? Most departments in investment banks are full of extremely bright, organised and focused people.

Schäuble has put forward another 0:0 budget - despite putting aside 19bn € for integration of refugees ( including 6 bn € for dealing with the refugee problem at source ). Record employment levels. Osborne has got leading banks to sign up to helping keep London as a finance centre - for now.
Three real estate funds have stopped taking investment. The pound is sinking.
If there had not been the brexit, people would be taking this as a crisis, but in brexit-speak there are 'minor adustments' and our 'exporters will profit' - short term.

Being PM is not just about doing the Brexit deal, and in any case most of the leg work and serious negotiation on that will not be done by the PM.

She was not controling large amounts of money, but had to deal with such things as 'personal'. She or her team are trying to push her as someone who can handle the financial problems which are occuring and others that may occur for the UK. An experienced wheeler and dealer at the helm. Still, in the wake of Johnson, Farage and Gove, that is relatively seen, 'peanuts' in the BS department.
She doesn't live in Northampton. Last night was fun raiser for her campaign by the wealthy WASPs from South Northants (where she lives) and Daventry District - rich country folk and social climbers. Boris was guest speaker.
which is true.....but you need a PM to set the pace. The Brexit deal will take many years of negotiations and employ many staff - all to an unknown outcome. What that costs and how much it distracts from dealing with other problems that come up cannot be calculated.

If she worked at this level for Barclays etc. then she will be able to handle financial problems. Let me explain the way it works in the Front Office. Traders are supported by a number of teams full of bright people who understand finance every bit as much as the guy managing the position. Even the IT teams supporting the FO understand the products, the valuation and risk of the products and the trading strategies. Managing the EUR cut-over for the firm would be a senior position - she would have had to understand the impact across every dimension (including settlement and middle and back office impacts - not just the trading position); whereas a trader typically just manages one currency and/or one risk measure: currency; interest rate; credit spread and then three more desks to manage the volatility of these. This is not an exhaustive list - my point is that traders are engulfed in a single aspect of banking, support staff need to understand the big picture.
I'm not a Tory party member so I don't get to vote anyway. If I did my first choice would be that Cameron hadn't resigned and then probably May - so I'm no big fan. However I general dislike the widespread hyperbole and misinformation that gets pushed around the internet - mostly by people with no understanding of the issues or subject matter. I remember clearly Diane Abbott on the BBC giving out her views on LIBOR when it was obvious she hadn't the slightest understanding of it or even heard about it before the fixing scandal (she pronounced it LEE-BOR). I don't know why people cannot just keep their mouths shut and listen when they don't know about something.

Yes, but did it change the power/ control? No. Either way would stay approximately the same. So, I don't agree that 'we' have our country back. One part of the elite has triumphed over the other. Just look at the characters involved. I was never really into national referenda and am now convinced that referenda, in questions such as this, a simple yes no resulting in a 17 to 16 majority and not all 4 UK countries voting the same way, are not the way to go. 52% have ignored the rights of 48% - and it would have been the same the other way round. In a parliament you can make compromises or you could maybe go back to negotiations again and again... Now we have gone a 100% in one direction - if anyone dares to pull the trigger ( the biggest mouths have legged it ).
