I would say it's statistically impossible for every single manager we have to be shit , therefore the problem lies elsewhere .
We run a model that releases and recruits players at an alarming rate , irrespective of budget .
Burton had a side they built and kept their better players over a 4 or 5 year period , stability , Walsall improved over a 4 year period without losing their best players , then they lose their best 2 players and aren't the same side .
Many of the sides who struggle mass recruit and release , they have 1 thing in common , zero fucking stability .
Last season was just pure luck on our behalf , it more than often fails
Maybe we should as supporters start backing the campaigns to rid this club of the dogshit ownership , and prevent this very thread again in 15 months time when the next victim starts struggling .

Mowbray has become a puzzle, nothing is working out no matter what formation is tried which is chopped and changed constantly. The players, the coaches and us fans must all be puzzled Does he not watch re runs of the games in the week? What is said to him by Venus or Clapham ? Yes I know there might be budget issues but that doesn't excuse systems of play, tactics or dodgy team selections and as for recruitment simply not good enough. Going back to the OP should he stay or go. At the moment it is go, there has been no realistic improvement since last Christmas. But I doubt it will happen firing managers costs big money, money sisu haven't got or want to find.

We seem to be in this position every year and carrying on slipping down the leagues. I just don't see what sacking the manager will do as nothing ever changes. The problem must lie elsewhere.

Yes. Our form the last 5 months of last season and the first 6 weeks of this season is relegation form.
We're bottom of the table after almost a fifth of the season...not just one game.

The owners are happy with current situation and can drift along indefinitely. They have no interest in the community, football or gambling. The fan base is now half what it was five years ago.

I really don't know. I have clicked to keep mowbray in the poll. He form post Christmas is appalling and people have been sacked for less. His summer recruitment has been shambolic and this season the stats show we are Bottom of the league with 3 goals and no wins. Couldn't be worse.
Same time I think a new manager would not be able to bring players in. Would they be any good? Do we sack him in 18 months time also?
The underlying problem is the owners. The club is toxic regardless of TM. But that doesn't excuse us bottom of the league. Every manager has come here and failed bar robins who wasn't given enough time to fail really. He is out of work isn't he? I'm really not sure. TM has done a lot of good also with players now signing long contracts and scouting seems so much better with jones and turnbull. End of the day of mowbray loses the next two he is gone and if he wins the next two he stays so as always results will dictate his future.

But lets sack the manager yet again.
The next manager will also be someone who was sacked becauce his team did poorly.

I don't think any manager can succeed here with SISU, TF and CA running things. The club is a shambles from top to bottom.
That said, I believe that TM has lost interest and passion in the job since last January when CA started interfering in player trading. I posted on here about CA's interference at the time of TM's interview on Sky Blue Player and the usual 1%ers said it was rubbish without even checking the interview for themselves. Ever since then, TM simply hasn't looked interested. FFS he didn't even do an interview on Sky Blue Player for the first few weeks of the season. Was he even at Ryton during that time?
I would give TM 3 more games and a minimum of 4 points to save his job. Changing manager will probably not be the answer long term, but in the short term I think the players need a bit of a shake up with a new face in charge.
I also think that TM's recruitment over the Summer has been questionable to say the least. Before the season started I said that Sordell was shit and we would struggle to score goals unless we could bring in a couple of decent strikers. We've got a lot of forward players but they are pretty shit to be honest.

Did anyone hear TM's interview after the Oldham game? TM said that he told the dressing room he couldn't understand how the team had deteriorated so much since the Oldham game at the end of last season!!!!!
FFS what must the players have been thinking given that most of them weren't even at the club during that time?

He needs to be given just a little longer, but yep, the clock is ticking. What are we now, 8 games in?
10-12 matches. If it hasn't turned around, then I think he will have to go.
It's not just that we aren't winning, it is the total lack of goals too and the odd selections and formations and substitutions we are witnessing.
I want him to succeed, but we are failing really badly at the moment.

He didn't blame the CCC solely for the decision he made,or the state of the club, he said they should help the club more but ultimately he wasn't given the assurances from the owners to finish the job he started. We all know the reasons for why the CCC didn't help at the time its going over old ground, but changing the manager although i can see why they could, it's papering over cracks and deeper problems within the club.
TM may not be the right man for the job, that is up for debate, what is not up for debate is Sisu are not the right owners for our club and that's where the real answer to this question can be found.

It's all down to the Coventry City ethos, which is generated from the very top. It's one of lack of interest, aspiration, spirit or know how.
We are owned by a bunch of losers who couldn't give a toss about the football club & that mentality permeates itself all the way down to the playing staff.

Ultimately, as a fan base, SISU have stopped us being able to debate Mowbray making bizarre decisions or messing up the transfer window as they have destroyed any sense of 'club' both to its fans and to its city. Until they leave, whether via liquidation or through the almost mythical hope they sell to virtually ANYONE the club is poisonous to anyone we need to do business with and any fans we want to keep or attract back. So yes, ridiculous playing just Bigi in midfield for 20 minutes yesterday...but only 8,350 Cov fans saw that because of over ten years of destruction, bridge burning and lack of any respect or care for anyone connected to Coventry City or the City of Coventry. And that's why as I was frustrated with the match, looking around at empty Sky Blue seats, Wasps black and white hoardings everywhere and having my ticket checked three times in case I wasn't supposed to be in a third full Block 20 and had scammed a couple of quid off the ticket means that Mowbray's subs are basically irrelevant. Even the announcer had little to say to fans aside from the team names and Happy Birthday, Brenda. What a match day experience!!

It's not all his fault but I think that it's gone stale for him here and once that has happened then there is no way back, it's a shame as I was really excited for the first half of last season and thought we were going to push for promotion and now look at us, back to this shit.

My view is that each recent manager ends up on a cycle to disaster and as we have been told...you never quit at the bottom of a cycle. Think it's blind hope that as he is 'experienced' he will be able to turn it around in the end.
