people should be free to do what they want without constant sniping.

I don't think it is assumed that anybody who doesn't go is doing it to starve the club. It's only really when people make a big song and dance out of it which then accounts for 10 or 15 people who will probably just work overtime etc or do something else because they were fed up of awful football.
Putting it into the supplier example, again it's the same as people who will make the most noise will mean there are another fair few people who stop going because of the poor football and won't make a big song or dance out of it. However if for example the supplier of pies used a cheaper meat supplier so it didn't taste as nice you would just stop buying it. You wouldn't then sign up to pielovers.co.uk to tell people daily about how you won't give them a penny or aren't going to bother etc. (Not you personally).
Kind of works. But said people haven't been supporting these pies their entire lives and singing chanting in the factory for years at a substantial cost. I understand your point but comparing supporting to anything else doesn't work. And I mean that both ways.
Yes, that's what I mean. It's easy enough to compare it to buying a TV and checking the reviews so just not buying it any more but it's not the same.
People compare it to going to watch awful films at the cinema etc as well. There is no real comparison.
The only thing I can think of comparing it to is your mums relentless support of Ann Summers.
I always used to think 'Tupperware party' was a euphemism and it was like an Ann Summers party but way filthier, turns out that women actually were just getting excited about storage solutions and keeping leftovers fresh.
We've got a tupperware cupboard at home. No thought is put into the management of the cupboard and every time you open it you get destroyed by falling plastic.
Tupperware is of course a crime fighting superhero in South Park. We've got a tupperware cupboard at home. No thought is put into the management of the cupboard and every time you open it you get destroyed by falling plastic.
We have been informed by Sisu we have to be self sufficient. This we know. My point was that unless we put the money in to support the club the club will continue to whither and die and in my humble opinion it is up to the fans to keep it alive in the hope of better days. You are normally a very intelligent poster
Fisher has stated on numerous occasions that SISU are running CCFC as a business. That`s fine and their prerogative.
The fans are treated by Fisher as customers not like fans in the normal sense. Therefore the fans cannot be blamed for not spending their hard earned money without receiving value for money and entertainment.
Football is in the entertainment business that rely on "bums on seats"
They are fortunate that there are 5,000 die hards (reducing every year) who will turn up despite the entertainment value. I used to be one of them.
Sorry, but I disagree. In my opinion you cannot hold the fans to account in the same way as the owners
Fisher needs to look in the mirror, no further !!!
If my local restaurant goes bust because it serves crap food and offers poor service who`s fault is it ?? The customers or the management.
I totally agree ,what does irritate is the assumption that all those not buying season tickets are all doing it to damage the CCFC finances in some vain hope it will see SISU go.
Most people I know if they are not going to renew do so because it has become a chore, is not value for money, is not enjoyable, is a negative experience and there are other things that bring positive enjoyment that they now value more within their budget. To point the finger at people making a simple choice based on that is frankly divisive and lacks understanding of what is going on. I would suggest that for most people it isn't about NOPM or damaging SISU finances (that isn't working in any case) it is simply people finding more enjoyable things to do with the money they have available to them. The consequence of that is less money for CCFC, however is the customer really to blame for a poor product/experience provided by the supplier
Instead of finger pointing respect their decision as I respect yours if you choose to have a season ticket.
Just to be clear due to other commitments I have not had a season ticket nor do I plan to get one............. I will pick and choose when I go (if at all) so long as it fits in with other things in my life. The choices I make have nothing at all to do with providing or not providing finance to CCFC. I very content with the choices I make and take full responsibility for them - I am aware of the consequences for CCFC of a few of those choices but I am a long, long way down the list of those responsible for the state of the club and its future (as is any other fan)
I totally agree ,
I think of it like this , if the Belgrave theatre put on show and asked me to pay for the seat before I know who is performing and then when i turn up, the show is shit , what do you think I would do the next time I'm asked to pay up front ?
No need to answer , we all know the answer to that .
I am going to see Spamalot at the Belgrade in two weeks time.I totally agree ,

Yep, my wife bought a Tupperware tub to keep her dildo in.
It can't be compared to going to the theatre no but if you pay to watch a show and it's shit you aren't going to pay again for the next 7 nights either. It can't be compared to going to the theatre can it?
1. You would always pay up front to go to the cinema or theatre anyway.
2. Is not knowing the starting 11 for the first game a new thing?
Every football match is different, I'm not too sure people would pay to watch the same film over and over every week no matter how good it was.
Again, would you then sign up to the show's fan page and post every week how you weren't going to go?

Paying for a season ticket is about showing total unconditional support and putting faith in the football club to do it's utmost to make the experience enjoyable and offer some hope of success over a period of 46 matches. Most football clubs attempt to achieve this goal as they recognise success leads to increased revenues and exciting days for all concerned. Sadly the morons in control of CCFC are not bothered about the overall advancement of the club, they are merely spinning out time to achieve their real goals of turning a profit by winning court cases and as long as they don't have to pay out any more { of someone else's } money, they will drag it out until they have exhausted all litigious options. If supporters are happy to bankroll the club in this period of time then fair play to them for their incredible persistence and patience.

What I can't understand is the theory that NOPM will get rid of Sisu and all is well.
Your analogy of the local restaurant neglects to recognize the emotional attachment we have to the club.
I am not prepared for the club to die.
We know 100% that Fisher is culpable but I also believe that fans who give up on the club are also prepared for the club to die.
I will stand behind this and I will argue we fans must keep the club going.
All this is true but one day we all hope that the club will start to become successful again. It can't be compared to going to the theatre no but if you pay to watch a show and it's shit you aren't going to pay again for the next 7 nights either.

I know everything you say is as it should be but we are dealing with the devil and I just want the club to survive.Surely the club should plan to entertain the fans so they come back?
Can't expect fans to go on a promise they will be entertained ............. again ........... and again ...............
A few continue to buy it but as you can see it's not working.
Time to change, top 2 budget, good manager and the fans will flood back.
I know everything you say is as it should be but we are dealing with the devil and I just want the club to survive.
the match day experience isnt great with stadium being empty and all.
but checkatrade final shows what football can and should be. now granted you wont get that epic high every week but success is a big part of it.
winning lots of games, having players who are good, scoring goals etc will bring fans back. even in league 2
if we got back to championship would fanbase still be so anti sisu? i bet not!
but its a bit chicken and egg as without blind faith not many tickets will be sold and we might not get the team on pitch we deserve

Every season under SISU the team is different , and every season under SISU the team gets worse !It can't be compared to going to the theatre can it?

It isn't. Funny as can be mate. Ni!I am going to see Spamalot at the Belgrade in two weeks time.
It had better not be shit.
Your first line says we all "hope" we have all done that since our owners have been here but the only way we have gone has been downwards ,change of policy don't see that coming(leopard and spots) I am not going away like most on here are not but will pick and chose when I want go and not commit to 23+ games a season if I want to be depressed by performances I can do this at home and save lots of money does not hurt as much when you don't see it . I'm fed up of putting my money into this club and getting treated like dirt by our chairman and his friends(our owners) .I don't think there has been or will be any criticism of those who committed to regular support .The club wither and dying don't blame the people who just decided that they want to be entertained for there hard earned money after all this is what football is.All this is true but one day we all hope that the club will start to become successful again.
It may be as a result of a change of ownership or a change of policy by the current owners (unlikely I know) or some other twist of fate.
When it gets to a stage that people start to return, I just hope they don't criricise those who kept the faith and helped to keep the club alive.
If, on the other hand, the club withers and dies you can blame the owners and all of the people who turned against them because of how they behaved, but don't blame the faithful few
What size is the tub.
