For me, the most pleasing aspect of tonight’s win was coming back from behind and it’s a bonus it was away too. I was worried that our results seemed to depend on us getting the first goal. Let’s hope it’s the first of a few comeback wins!

Most important win of the season so far I would say.

1. Away form has been dodgy

2. Swindon have been a bogey team for us for some time.

3. We won from being a goal behind.

Totally agree, every aspect of the result was just what we needed. A win now v Crewe will be big too. But it’s a home game so we should be expecting a win.

Just got back from a fantastic win and still buzzing. Best away day in a long, long time and against a side who will be up there challenging for promotion alongside us.

Deserved victory, what a winning goal, battling performance from 1 through to 11 and the fans were magnificent. Fitting that 10 years on to the day that we stuffed united at old Trafford the SBA were out in force celebrating again. Can’t wait for Saturday!

Just got back, what an evening! Best away day for a long long time. Great performance and the fans were immense. Proud to be sky blue tonight. Grimmer is a worry, he seems to be our weak link but right now I don't care. I'm going to sleep a happy sky blue

Just got back also. Thoroughly deserved victory, even with them having 11 men we looked like the only team who were gonna win the game. Amazing winner from the Duck, hoping we can extend his loan last January as he's a massive asset to the team.

Pleased for Biamou too, thought he was great tonight and won nearly every ball played up to him. DKE nearly scored 2 in 2, what a start to his first team career that would have been!

I'm sorry I wholeheartedly disagree with this lazy bullshit. I think he works his socks off, especially when it comes to hounding defenders on the ball. If anything he scares me a bit that he will get himself sent off with silly fouls!

Ngl wasn’t there tonight and have only seen him play twice which were his first 2 games. So maybe he has improved so fair enough.

Notts county look the team to beat (done that). It's a league where we should fear no one but teams won't want to play us. Exeter crashed and burned yesterday again.

Hopefully we can get what we rarely achieve this season and that's consistency to grind out results like last night! PUSB!

4 wins in last 5 games. And they were not an easy looking 5 games. Just look at the last 2. One against a team that were on a long winning run. They hadn't lost all season. We made them look poor. Then last night away to a team that we hadn't beat in the league for a very long time. A top 7 side. The result made them look better than they were.

So onto the next 5.

Crewe H
18th place. Lost last 4 games.

Barnet A
15th place. 1 point out of last 4 games.

Accrington A
3rd place. 1 point and 1 place above us. But they win one then don't win the next. 20 goals so far but 13 against after 10 games. If our defence can be as tight as usual we have a good chance of getting some sort of result.

Forest Green Rovers H
24th and bottom. Have leaked 25 goals so far. 1 point from last 5 games.

Colchester H
21st place. 2 points from last 4 games. Have scored 15 goals but 18 against.

Would settle for 4 wins. No reason why we shouldn't get 12 points minimum. But we need to start beating the teams near the bottom.

Games like Barnet away where we have faltered in the past and lost by a silly goal. Hopefully we can get results at teams like these. Optimistic but certainly still grounded at this stage!

Honestly think we will win this League, keep looking at the table and the teams in it and unless our owners pull the rug out in January think we should finally turn a corner in 2018 ! Cov Rugby to win their Division too and Wasps to flounder will make for a cracking spring !

I still expect Luton and Mansfield to come good so very early days...

I can see a top 7 of:

Luton
Mansfield
Cov
Notts County
Cambridge
Swindon
Accrington

Doyle's goalscoring for us has covered a 13 year span now, that's got to be some kind of record or not far off I'd have thought?

I’d be happy with 9/10 points from that
The 3 home games should be 9 points. Not looking for just 1 point in the other two games.

We need a minimum 2 points a game. And this is a chance to improve on our GD. I would be happy with 12 points.

well , he missed
1. the first one on biamou ( looked a pen but apparently outside, so definite straight red)
2. The one on Nazon 2nd half (should have been a pen)
3. The one by Rod (they should have had the pen) - but he would have been lynched if he gave that after not giving the above 2

Doyle "manages" the refs at this level - so dont worry

and 7 minutes stoppage time!!
Watch the games in Europe etc - its usually 3 mins max, why do we always have 5,6 or 7

As said before, next run of games look good for taking plenty of points
It was only last week though that some on here were saying that we would be lucky to take anything from Exeter/Swindon
I am happy that we are back challenging at the top of the league, albeit league 2

Duck let slip in his interview that Robins said he wanted 5 points from Exeter, Swindon, Crewe - so we're 1 point ahead of that with the easiest game to go.

yeah he made some really bad mistakes at the start

but it more than evened out eventually with the red card, not sending doyle off for 2 yellows and not giving swindon a pen for a push in the back by rod.

all in all it worked out well!

tbh i think staying unbeaten would make up for lack of points over next 4 or 5 games.

if it was 2 wins 3 draws for example whilst that wouldnt have us top 3 probably it would keep the squad momentum going.

that said i expect 2 wins on bounce!

What a difference supporting a winning team makes when at work.

No annoying banter, no embarrassment at your team losing again at the weekend, no need to repeat the same excuses every week. And most importantly even more reason to tell the Wasps fans to sod off.

Even if it only lasts a season, so far so good being a Cov fan.

Nazon. This kid is improving fast. Think we have found our striker. He is direct, quick, difficult to get off the ball, is hungry to score and can do things like he did last night. He is just a little raw and needs to be taught about his choices at times, particularly his shot at goal when clean through, had he thumped it with his left foot a certain goal. This kid will get us 15 to 20 goals.

Did anyone notice Swindon's goal was offside?

Nazon was tripped in the first half but it was outside the box.
Their penalty shout when their player took a strange dive to the ground probably cost them a penalty but not even sure it would have been anyway looking closely.

As I said before the season started, not getting promoted would be failure. Last night was a very good result and MR's must ensure he keeps the confidence in check not allowing them to get over confident.

Expect us to lose on Saturday again now, as nobody seems to have learnt about getting Carried away!
Yes we have done very well in the last couple games, but we aren’t going to win every game. And I realise it’s football and it’s normal for fans to get over confident. But we have had some bad results as well this season.
I do think we will get top 7 this season but not getting to confident yet.

But isn't this the same as a few seasons ago? A great striker who isn't ours???

Fortunately Wolves are doing pretty good without him. So I hope we will keep him for the season or even put an offer in for him come January if it looks like promotion is on. After all he is 23 and he has not made Wolves first team.

Glad I was wrong about the result. Not getting carried away though with "next 5 games" etc, One game at a time!

I appreciate it's nice to be on a high after a win and feeling optimistic for the future, and also feel we have turned a corner of taking things for granted in the past.

Yep the only game I'm looking at is Crewe on Saturday
