Another win. Another clean sheet. With the defence as good as it is atm, I weren’t worried at 1-0 at any point.

Was ill today so didn’t make it, on Gillette Soccer Saturday, Jeff Stelling mentioned we’ve only conceded one goal at home, that O’Brien mistake. What a brilliant defence we’ve got at the minute.

Excellent result. Keeping up with our rivals and putting pressure on those at the top!

From what I saw 4-0 wouldn't have flattered us.

I think the expectation of the way in which we'll beat teams needs to be a bit more realistic. We're not going to play champagne football and completely dominate offensively but we're hardly giving teams a sniff defensively, really solid base we've got and an excellent home record.

Onwards and upwards PUSB

Are you using a different IP address than the one you signed up with?
Apparently I did.
I was working on my work laptop with company VPN which so happens to be in Netherlands. Should have signed out of VPN before signing in on ifollow and clicking listen live. They have barred by account for 24 hours... them swines... was a genuine mistake. Bit harsh towards there customers.

So esoterica??? Willis??
Played well today. Let McDonald do the hard work on Porter and the rest of the Crewe forwards suited Willis' athletic game. I never said he was a bad player, just that I thought he could improve on that part of his game! No-one should be complacent if they want to be the best, always look to improve!

Highly decent performance. Strong at the back again. Doyle and Kelly axis working nicely. I'm becoming a huge fan of Kelly.

My own view (probably not popular on here) is that Beavon as the inside forward could be vital to this team. Links up play nicely with the midfield axis. Intelligent footballer who seems to have a good technical understanding with Nazon and Jones. That's the best forward combination in my book; Beavon in a slightly withdrawn role playing in the danger men.

Kelly-Evans was just ok first half (looked a little lightweight) but grew into the game late on as he shifted into more of a central position. I do generally like the pace he brings on the opposite side to Jones.

Grimmer and Stokes improving game by game as I see it. Confidence is looking ever higher game by game across the whole team.

What to say about Jones and Nazon. They just have the x-factor. Jones is providing key assists every game and has be the most valuable player on form in the league. Nazon is very skilful and powerful.

I think we are very close to seeing our best team/formation. Although looking to see some more of McNulty though over the next few weeks. Haynes at left back would also add to our attacking pace although again Stokes is looking increasingly solid.

Plenty to look forward too. And great job Mark Robins. Not every signing has paid off but McDonald, Grimmer, Kelly, Doyle, and Nazon have all been outstanding additions. That's a high success rate. I'm also seeing now why he kept Beavon. And Jones is completely transformed. PUSB.

Lots of praise for McDonald and Willis from Dele Adebola. No shots on target for Crewe according to the BBC stats, happened a few times this season?

Only 6 goals conceded in 11 games...

At last we have a team that are winning and we are starting to believe in, momentum is building and another winnable game next Saturday?

Everyone to Barnet then....

In the second half we looked bereft and had run out of ideas. Beavon coming on changed the game back in our favour. No idea why Robins didn't make the substitution earlier.

Probably because without Beavon we've actually been winning games and scoring goals

Err, don't get that logic at all. I am talking about this game. Not talking about bringing Beavon on in any other game, but in this game, as in today's game, bringing Beavon on changed the game back in our favour and we suddenly started creating lots of chances again.

You could pretty much say that after every game.

That touch beavon had when he took it out of the air.

Front two were blowing but liked the tag team when they were having a bit of beef and nazon just went over to push their player in the back.

Maybe, but just today you could see it wasn't working. Yep, still looked fine at the back, but there's always a danger of a freak goal or a handball for a penalty etc.

As soon as Beavon came on we started creating lots of chances. Both Biamou and Nazon looked a little shot in that second half.
