We sit way up in East stand, Block 19, and I actually could hear Rod McDonald talking on the pitch and he was by the West Stand touchline. That’s a first on Saturday.
I counted 42How many away fans?
I said away fans, not your pubes!I counted 42
Officially 197....I’m sure there wasn’t fifty.I counted 42
I think a good portion hide behind the i'll not go while sisu are still there when really L2 football isn't for them.
I'd rather them be honest and say it's poor football in div 4 than bullshit reasons.
Hitman, I respect your honesty and reasons for not going personally as much as I dislike the owners it doesnt affect my decision to go or not go, over the years I have had various sabaticals but here I still am supporting the team I love feeling disappointed week after week but its quality time and a shared interest I go now with my son, for things like that and a common interest money just cannot buyC
Steve82, Here goes then, I'll be totally honest. After having a Season Ticket since December 1991 (except for the exile season), I did not renew by ST this year and I have not been to a home game.
My reasons for not going are:
The level we are now at. It's not the same with dwindling crowds, season after season. SISU are one of the reasons. Next month is the 10th Anniversay since they took over and since then we have suffered 2 Relegations.
I never thought it would happen but I can honestly say, I do not miss going to the matches. I keep saying, l shall go to a home game but then I cannot be bothered. I know several people who also did not bother renewing their ST this year.
I have no issues with the fans that go as it is a leisure activity.
I cannot see a future with these current owners and with them, we are looking at a prolonged period in the lower tiers of the leagues.
Not much, but it definitely was.To be fair league 1 wasnt much better
I've got multiple reasons for not going. I'd like Sisu out but them being here isn't on my list of reasons for not going.
- None of my mates have season tickets since the Sixfields shambles, 8 of us and my dad used to be up there every week.
- I work shifts (2 weekends a month) and used to have no issue booking time off for games, but now I've got a 2 year old I can't waste the holiday. Although I'm sure this will change when he's old enough to go.
- I've always preferred England games anyway.
- After having not gone for a while and seeing how angry people get about things like stewards telling them where to sit or a misplaced cross it's all a little embarrassing and I cringe at how angry I used to get.
- I'm not paying £26 to walk up on the day. I've got the money, but I'm not paying it. I wouldn't pay that if we were in the premier league. If I'm about on a Saturday I'd rather spend my money on six pints and not be angry.
I do desperately want to go, but all the negative football, feigning, time wasting, cheating and not trying to win is making it increasingly difficult to stomach.Fickle
You’re also not allowed to post on here anymore. I’ve been reliably informed in the past that unless you attend 75% of games you’re not allowed an opinion.
Being serious though. Fair play to you. I didn’t go to a game for five years after my kids arrived. Family first.

I know you are joking, but for the record I don't comment on player or match performances if I don't go or at least watch the entire game on TV and anyone who does is kidding themselves that they know what is going on.
Out of interest on your point on price and excluding weeks you can’t attend - what price would be needed to attract you to go?
It's true what some people have said-we will not move forward while Sisu are in charge. We may get lucky like we nearly did with Mowbray but on the whole we will fester and may hang around the lower leagues for years till they go.
We also didn't renew and was planning to stick it out till Christmas but after some positive early results have gone away games and to a few home games.
Reasons are Sisu, Level we are at, Price (although I can afford it) and lack of match day experience and atmosphere.
Another thing is which I'm surprised nobody has mentioned is that I can't relate some of the players anymore.
I saw the likes of Burge, Willis, Haynes, Stevenson along with others, not trying and giving up last year and were a disgrace. Now people want me to cheer and encourage them!
Also players who we sign must have no ambition coming to Coventry City anymore. Everyone knows it's a basket case so why would players touch it with a barge pole if they had anything about them?
Why that I wonder? We sit way up in East stand, Block 19, and I actually could hear Rod McDonald talking on the pitch and he was by the West Stand touchline. That’s a first on Saturday.
