Christmas adverts for stuff you use every day anyway. I just don't get it.
Yep sure, advertise mince pies, or party food with a twist, but Flora, or Hellmann's mayonnaise?
Surely if you use mayonnaise regularly you are just going to continue using mayonnaise. If you don't really use mayonnaise I don't see why you would get some in especially just for Christmas.
Is a Christmas advert for mayonnaise going to work?
I get the manufacturer's stance. They advertise their product anyway and thinking as it is Christmas they will mention Christmas, but it costs an awful lot to make ads and I don't see why they can't just use their current ad. As I say, I don't think people are going to go out and buy mayonnaise because it is Christmas are they?
Anyway, amongst all the pigs in blankets and specialist vol au vents and turkey crowns, it all seems rather odd to have Christmas Flora and Christmas mayonnaise when they are just normal Flora and normal mayonnaise.
