Just had a look at tonights referee.
Craig Breakspear .
We had him for the 2-1 away win at Swindon, anyone remember ?
39 games officiated so far, 141 yellows, 15 reds .
Last two games just the three yellows ,pray that continues as many come in clusters, a few games where it's gone as high as 6 and 7, even a 9 in there.
5 or 6 double reds in there too, beware Doyle!
Pretty certain Doyle won't get a double red tonight, Wingy.

Yeah without reading all the individual match reports I'm guessing he tends to balance it out with One from either side .
Pretty sure one of those clusters we 4-5 games in succession, possibly suggests he gets into a certain mindset, given it's 3 yellows in 2 I'm hoping that's his current mood and that prevails.

Luton are in for a big shock if they think they can come to the Ricoh and play good football on that pitch. For once the pitch could be our biggest chance of getting a win.

I think he could, he sort of did against Luton before. Would be a better outlet than bayliss and give us a bit more in the air from goal kicks.

He has zero pace and movement. Also his positional awareness even in the role he’s supposed to “specialise” in is terrible. He’d be offside time and time again and when not offside would not be in position to receive the ball.

He’s clearly a registered charity. Let’s try him in goal next.

Disappointed to be missing the game tonight, although I won’t miss seeing the Doyle/Kelly partnership or the waste of Bayliss’ creativity. Or the awful football as a whole.

Still, as long as we get the result, none of that matters. This season has to be about promotion, even if we get promoted through scrappy undeserving 1-0’s.

1-0, McNulty.

A little bit nervous about how it will go, I am hoping we get a convincing win and send a message to the rest of the league. If they are trying to attack us we only really have Reid who can counter attack them on the break so really need him to start.

Just a thought but does anybody else think Biamou could play on the right, i could see him doing a job there.
Why, when we finally have Baker in the squad, do you now want to see Biamou on the wing?
It makes absolutely no fucking sence whatsoever!
Just imagine, with a creative player like Baker, we may even try playing some football on the deck, and can stop the aimless punt upfield.

Because Baker hasn't played football in about 9-10 months so clearly won't be fit enough to start a game if he has clearance.

It's worrying how little pace we have. Grimmer and Haynes are quick and so too Reid, but McNumpty Paperwork clearly lacks pace, as does JCH, Shipley, Doyle, Kelly and Vincenti.

We very much miss Jones's pace.

I'm talking about tonight, not long term, which is why I put it in the Luton match thread.

Be amazed if his was picked tonight. Would think he would be way off match fitness. May warrant a place on the bench though with his coming on for the last 15 mins or so. That still doesn't seem right though.

Still don't understand why we didn't give him a bit of a run out yesterday. To my mind that points to him not being involved today.

Can't see how you can go from months out to straight into the first team.

Baker still hadn't recieved international clearance as of 4-00pm today.

Has it been on the radio?

Think it will be cutting it very fine if they somehow had after that to then play tonight, although it seems to be taking quite a while considering he left them a good while ago.

My meeting down in Kent got cancelled this morning. Just logged in to buy a ticket for me and my mate for tonight. £24 each.

I just can't do it.

Thankfully, at 23, I can get away with saying I’m 21 to blag a concession ticket! That said, I am a student so irked there’s no student prices...

2 Changes

I reckon Willis and Shipley maybe? Shame if so, Reid was decent and it will take our only bit of pace away.

I am sure it said 1 change before?

Vincenti and Shipley in, Kelly and Reid out it looks like.

It's weird Vincenti wasn't even on the bench on Saturday. Why does he bomb them out and bring them back in to start?

Reid not even on the bench according to that, Vincenti playing and on the bench.

Reid and Kelly on the bench.

Willis not even on the bench, Stokes the only defender.

I'm not sure about this being completely out of the squad then coming in to start then back out again for a game.

I agree with the pace concern in general, although McNulty has pace.

Positive move moving Bayliss, followed by a negative dropping Reid.

We now have some creativity in the middle, but zero pace and little movement out wide.
