A few facts for you,
I don't read any tabloids
I was educated and achieved a very good degree from a Russell group university and now teach A level philosophy.
I was not interested in the Czech spy allegation at all. Insufficient evidence IMO
We don't need to fabricate anything against Corbyn. He is on record over the decades taking unprincipled and unpatriotic positions. I judge him on these facts, not allegations.
I have no problem about him being cautious and saying, If, if, if, but he should then suggest he will support certain measures against Russia under conditions. He should not be muddying the waters with anti-western tropes.
If he has counter evidence he should present it. If he has reservations he should attach conditions which, if met, will lead him to condemn Russia.

Actually, if you make a claim, it is up to you to justify it, not others to prove that it is not true.

You said Germany don’t Mart - is that right or wrong?

Didn’t they turn Saudi down? Which is why they came to May. They are also not selling tank spares toTurkey for their German tanks.

They have been selling ships... ( amongst other things ) maybe they didn’t have what Saudi needs to bomb people or didn’t want to sell them? Don’t know.

The notion ISiS and it’s rise has anything to do with Britain’s economic relationship with the Saudi regime is the absurdity. Grow up I thought you taught in schools and did not play a bit part in a sixth form debating society.

We know with some certainty that weapons we have sold to 'allies' in the region have ended up in IS' hands, either through capture or smuggling. We also know that the Saudi coalition has fought alongside Al Qaeda in Yemen. Go further back and the decision to pillage Iraq at America's behest unquestionably exacerbated anti-Western sentiment and created the power vacuum needed for an extremist group to take advantage.

In your world of guilt by association Mrs May supports the bombing of schools and hospitals. Why has she not been carted off to The Hague?

People who are wealthy and trade with the U.K. have and in many cases continue to fund ISIS. Wealthy people from Saudi, Qatar and Kuwait were almost exclusively ISIS sole funders in the early days and it was done so with the leaders of these countries blessing so long as ISIS were fighting Assad in Syria they didn’t care what else they were doing. These are all people we do business with either as governments or private businesses.

I agree, but such information is not going to be discussed in public is it?
As leader of the opposition he will be briefed on what the intelligence is. God help us all.
Therefore that is the place to raise his doubts. In public he should be more statesmanlike. It is bad form not to show solidarity over matters of national security. Nobody will take him or UK seriously if he ever becomes PM.

Why haven’t you read my link which exposes either your ignorance or outright lies on this subject?

Why hasn’t Macron, Merkel and whoever forms the failed governments of Italy and Spain? All are increasing sales to saudi. Are you saying the whole of the EU should be dragged to The Hague?

Seriously you sound very silly.

Actually, that sounds like a very good idea.

And if they are all convicted of war crimes and sentenced to death I would be only too happy to place the noose around their necks and pull the lever to the trap door myself.

I did read your link. Did you? It said the latest German exports to Saudi were boats and trucks. That is as opposed to planes and bombs etc.. I was quoting from your link.

Did you read my link which had a graph showing who by far sells the most to Saudi?

Boats and trucks are more profitable oh and the boats are loaded and fully armed with missiles. That’s better is it?

Am I missing something?

I heard him strongly condemn the act, I also heard him strongly advocate that the perpetrators should be punished. I've seen him not oppose any of the actions taken so far.

His spokesman has, meanwhile, maybe needed firmer language but has still said that it's most likely that Russia is directly or indirectly responsible. Boris Johnson was on the radio this morning saying similar!

I've also heard an option from the Prime Minister that the attack is due to loss of control, rather than direct Russian involvement.

Is the leader of the opposition wrong to ask what cobnversations have been had with Russia and other organisations who can help- to identify where this came from?

Is there actually a story here, other than one blown up by the mindless simplicity of black & white?!?

Personally, I don't think the time was right to ask about donations, but the general philosophy appears to be a condemnation of an attack, and a desire to get the full picture while involving allies. What is missing there?!?

What's missing is that he didn't turn up demanding that Putin's balls dangle from the Westminster Bridge.. and all the war fantasists got upset.

And if we did a full investigation involving our allies and indeed the bodies responsible for upholding international law as Coybyn has suggested the ramifications of that would go a lot further, a lot deeper and a lot wider than May has gone.

All May has done is window dressing and punitive and the ease she’s been able to convince this is hard line action is flabbergasting. The right wing press and their followers are lapping it up like she’s being tough. Bollocks is she, she’s taking the easy route out and it isn’t actually going to hold anyone accountable and she’s doing it with the backing of other world leaders paying lip service because for whatever reason they don’t want proper procedures followed either.

All May has done is invite Putin to carry on doing as he pleases and other world leaders have done the same by backing the punitive measures that May has took. Only Corbyn has suggested that we go further. Anybody who thinks that Putin has lost sleep over some expulsions and some asset freezes is deluded. Having a full investigation under international law with the backing of the international community on the other hand would be problematic for him. Hell, the IOC took more decisive action over the doping scandal against Russia than the serving British government has taken over murder and attempted murder using radioactive and biological weapons on British soil. It’s staggering that people are duped so easily.

I wonder what people had have said if the police man had died? Or another innocent member of the British public (not that you could say that the daughter was guilty of anything) We still don’t know what the long term effects will be on the intended or “accidental” victims will be. They could be confined to a slow, painful, incapacitating death for all we know meaning that they could still have been murdered, just not dead yet. Would we be gleefully cheering some empty expulsions of people who won’t be missed and won’t worry Russia and the freezing of some assets that will most likely be quietly unfrozen at some later point in time and even if they’re not won’t be missed by Russia or would we be demanding a full investigation in line with international law and in conjunction with our international partners and those who are responsible for upholding international law? The latter I would imagine. I would certainly hope the latter anyway. Isn’t that what Corbyn has asked for? Sounded like it to me. Yet he’s been rounded up on by right wing mouth breathers and the right wing press on one sound bite taken out of context from the context of his response as a whole.

The perps could probably be locked up right now If CCTV hadn't been wound down in cost cutting measure.
Bringing me onto another matter ,Northampton County Council.
Apologies but not starting a thread .
Pretty exceptional stuff with the likely scrapping of that democratic Assembly.

He wasn't a 'policeman' as such, he was acting as Skripal's personal bodyguard.
Well, whatever. The points still stands. The paramedics suffered ill effects from exposure as did members of the public. This could have been so much worse and yet could still prove to be. This is a relatively new nerve agent so who knows what the longer term effects of exposure will be.

JC has not said much today which is a shame , could do with more actions from the man , further his outing as a complete clown and his clown followers, good job he has a sensible rearguard in his party for the sake of labour .

This is beautiful the likes that berated me for critising JC for his ineffective response as well as lack of solidarity have now moved the conversation conviently away from his defence of not blaming Russia .

Are you that thick ?

Shame you didn’t listen to what he actually said. My guess is you listened to some well selected sound bites on Twitter or Facebook that have tried to push an agenda, or maybe just someone’s opinion on either who haven’t actually heard anything of what he actually said but they posted a picture with it so as per Twitter/Facebook law if it has a picture with it it must be true. Listen to his commons reply in full. Them words again, in full. He condemned it in equal measure to anyone on the opposite side of the commmons, held TM to account on what she has said and done and basically said her response doesn’t go far enough and the investigation doesn’t go back far enough.

Really

It was my post reference his inability to condem Russia.

Don’t back peddle , JC did not blame Russia directly everyone else has . He has even split his own party on the issue . You claimed he wanted proof where anyone with a small brain cell can understand what was said . I love it JC looking more like the failure he really is .

You have backed a dud LOL
