Yes. I thought the opinion from the usual suspects was that Merkel was weak and the EU was crumbling. It seems that they got it horribly wrong. How many times did they say they knew what they voted for? If so, why not tell May, Mogg and co, seeing as they cannot agree on what the country actually voted for?

The brexiteers are meeting with BoJo now ( or maybe it’s home time ). They are threatening to resign or cause enough trouble Friday ( today ) to perhaps bring down the government. We shall see how much they are aware of the consequences of a no deal Brexit.

Which is why I asked. Part of the government is oblivious as to the consequences.

He’s saying that the reason EU beef was banned in China was because of the self inflicted through bad practices BSE mad cow disease that struck the U.K. and Ireland god knows how many years ago. Ireland has had a Chinese delegation inspect abattoirs in Ireland and trade has been cleared to commence again with Ireland by China.

A) it’s two years on and we still don’t have a consensus in the cabinet (forget the rest of the country) as to what brexit actually means.

B) I’ve never passed comment on Germany’s political scene so not sure how you’ve come to that assumption, and it is an assumption.
