So your Council says it is increasing your Council Tax & you will have to pay £500/yr extra - upon reasonable assessment you wouldn't mind if they actually charged you an extra £512 instead?

Rounding up a bill is not the same as considering the broad outcome of a referendum you thick twat

Nah...
He's already said that the launch of the Brexit Party is a great thing and he's confident that all it will do is split the leave vote.

LOL

Well, I wasn’t expecting UKIP to completely be eradicated. Proves that Brexit is a personality cult following a right wing leader. Brexit Party will be the most successful EU party. Remain vote is split.

And it’s led by a man who’s consistently failed to get elected as an MP in the UK and the party boats IRA sympathisers and apologists for those committing child sex crimes.

Bearing in mind the party was only formed a few weeks ago, anything above 20% would be an impressive performance. If they do get anything in the 30’s it’ll scare the life out of the main parties.

17.4m Brits were never going to allow a stitch up between the UK establishment and a ragtag bunch of unknown EU officials to ignore their voice.

What are you on about? Brexit Party is a literally a ragtag bunch of chancers including revolutionary communists, hedge fund owners/ managers, city traders, people speculating in derivatives.. Do you really believe that the EU and the British government are working together to stitch up 37% of the electorate? My god..

They don’t seem worried about the child porn apologists. Just deflect whenever it’s mentioned.

Anyway. Predictions for Brexit now? It looks like now it could end up with another vote on either no deal or no Brexit to me.

If someone like Johnson takes charge and tries to push through a no deal, he won’t have a mandate to pursue the option based upon the 2016 referendum.

New Tory leader gets in on new deal or no deal mandate.
They attempt to negotiate a new deal and can’t so try and sell no deal and blame EU.
They either;
1) can’t get no deal through Parliament and extend again for GE/2nd ref OR
2) we come out on no deal by default operation of law and accident.

If 1) they meet same fate as May or choose between GE/2nd ref. GE leads to another minority gov and back to square one or we follow result of 2nd ref.

If 2) or 2nd ref leads to no deal economics takes effect and we have to try and get a trade deal under any circumstances in which case we hit same issues as withdrawal agreement (NI border, freedom of movement etc) then turmoil leads to a swing to the most popular socialist party, which may well be Lib Dem by then.

Snowing heavily tonight I see.

How many of the potty mouths from earlier will happily put the cross down to vote for anti-semitic Labour?

Mind you don't choke on the froth from that faux-rage

Seems to be a lot of 'anti-Semitism' smears thrown around by those who wish to obstruct criticism of Netanyahu and his criminal regime

That had nothing to do with it. Like me voters saw the two logos on the ballot paper and decided that Brexit had a better chance of success than UKIP. If UKIP had been leading in the polls we would probably have put our crosses there.

Apart from it isn’t. After you’ve gone on about Corbyn and the IRA for so long, you’ve ended up voting for a party who had no qualms about having people like that as it’s MEPs.

Oh yeah, she also defended the right of Garry Glitter to download whatever he likes.

They do not care. Banks also said that they don’t care, or rather “nobody’s interested”.

The hypocrisy, the lies, the flawed referendum, the possible damage to the economy and loss of political influence of the country. Not interested.

It does not matter to most leavers. Nigel is telling them what they want to hear. He flatters the leavers by telling them that they have taken part in the greatest democratic event in UK history, liberated the country from the yoke of the EU and assured their grandchildren’s futures.

Absolute bollocks. Their leave vote has, predictably, caused more division than ever before, created economic uncertainty, made the UK laughingstock, split the major parties and shown our politicians and political system to be inadequate. But, if you dare to point his out you get insulted and they scoff at your points.

Brexit is now a religion. If I tell religious people there is absolutely no evidence of the existence of a god, or that their holy books are inaccurate and contradictory, I will get the same reaction. Blasphemy.

The leavers are up there with the flat earthers, climate change deniers and those that think the earth revolves around the sun. And many actually admire the biggest liars and criminal family ever to rule the USA. Madness.

The sad thing is they’ve roped in plenty of normal, relatively intelligent people, who have bought into the whole “betrayal of democracy narrative”.

I was speaking to some colleagues who were complaining about it, “the country voted to leave and we haven’t” etc What the fuck do you think the government have been trying to do the last 2 and a half years!? As ridiculous as “our voices aren’t getting heard” yeah that’s the problem here

No acknowledgment of the difficulties or the fact the incompatible promises and over simplifications that led us here.

Only able to watch half but the similarities to the Trump rallies and rhetoric from its supporters are incredible.

Yeah I know, it’s actually incredible.

The claims that the country would just get over mass job losses if it happened was incredible, after going on about the country outside of London being left behind, apparently they wouldn’t care...it really is quite incredible as no doubt London would fare better than the rest. No doubt it’ll be the fault of everyone else still though as always seems to be the case.

The traitors and fake news crap is all stuff that’s been imported into UK politics by Trump.

Still I’m sure their platitudes like “we’ll get over it” will be of great comfort to their children when they lose their jobs and can’t pay the mortgage.

I do often wonder what is Farage desiring?

Is it power or what? I don’t get it

Great question.

He’s not stupid so he understands the complications of leaving (although it’s near impossible to get him even close to admitting it).

He obviously loves the limelight but I’m not sure if he wants power himself as then he’d need to add detail which is where he always falls over. I don’t think he’ll ever want to be in a position where he can really be held to account.

He’s campaigned for decades to get to this point yet I’m not convinced he really holds any ideological belief that drives him. He’s a bit of an enigma.

However I’d suspect he’d do anything for money.

Although supposedly he was a big admirer of Enoch Powell at school so maybe it’s as simple as that.

You got off lightly considering the shit you came out with.

No accepting it was misjudged at best, either, but instead an attempt to blame the reaction.

Imbecile.

I can’t say I like her - her comments and actions however are far less offensive on the IRA issue than Jeremy Corbyn

It was nice seeing pensioners declaring that if a hard brexit costs jobs “we’ll”, that’s “WE’LL” bounce back. Easy to say when you’re already drawing your pension.

Looking at the average age of his audience time is not on the Brexit Parties side.

The sad thing is it’s going to have to get really really bad for them to feel much in the way of negative consequences but there’s a chance some pension schemes will fail in an unstable economic climate.

Time is not on their side but they only need a year or two and they do seem to have younger support if you look online and speak to colleagues so not sure how indicative their rally attendees are.

That’s unbelievable yet believable.

Bloody Polish airmen, coming over here teaching our airmen how to set their guns effectively and showing us how to fly an effective formation other than the ineffective big wing formation that allowed “us” to win the Battle of Britain.

Yes “we” did it all on our own. Dumb asses.
