I think personally definitely herd immunity. They're smart enough, and don't forget Cummings' alleged quote beforehand about it "not mattering if a few old people die", plus his videoed comments about the Conservatives not caring about the NHS and 'poor people', while hyping up Eugenics. Forget Boris, he's a dummy, a puppet, if his 'advisors' had told him that dressing as a clown made you immune to the virus he'd have been telling the nation to stock up on makeup & outsize shoes.

That have backed themselves into a bit of a corner though, because they've left the public with two options.

1. They attempted to shield people from the virus and got it so massively wrong they're clearly totally incompetent and unfit to govern.

2. They have no intention of doing so and always stuck with herd immunity. In which case they lied about what they were doing and actively tried to bring about the deaths of tens of thousands of people. Which makes them evil and potentially up for genocide charges as they've effectively targeted killing off the elderly and vulnerable.

Teachers have been off work for ages. Not their choice, but how are they working their arses off just lately any more than than they usually do ?

Are you on a wind up? Remote teaching (from scratch in a few weeks without expertise in it). Others having to be in school for key worker kids. Setting and planning work for kids off and at school. Just because they're not in the school doesn't mean they aren't working. It's not like a production line where you can't do anything unless you're actually there.

He’s not a real teacher. All finger painting and PE in your pants. ;)

Teachers have always worked hard, but they're not working harder now, just differently.

So by doing things using a system they're unfamiliar with in circumstances very different to the norm, this will take more time and effort to do. Ergo they have to work harder than normal.

It’s much closer to 2- remember they knowingly sent covid positive patients into care homes, what other possible outcome could there have been than thousands dead?

It's very sad seeing Vallance and Whitty continue to cover for the government at these briefings. Or maybe they're covering themselves.

No social distancing? And yeah I don’t think the beaches should have been opened as they were too busy.... let’s just hope all the hard work hasn’t been undone over the last couple of weeks
But why only a picture of the black lives matter protest.

We’ll be back to square one in a few weeks by the looks of it! All this hard work could be for nothing because people haven’t obeyed the rules

Why so negative! I wonder if there may have been something that occurred in the past week or so that made people just think 'fuck it' to the rules? Or maybe someone eased the rules despite not meeting any of the metrics they set themselves to allow it and made an absolute pigs ear of explaining what was and wasn't permissible that most people just tuned out and decided to use their 'instinct' (though I've no idea why they'd have decided to do that)?

I'm certainly moving more towards 2. I was mainly making a point that those are the only possible explanations for what has happened and neither of them make them look good.

Deaths seem to be plateauing at a pretty horrifying 300-400 and we're quarantining people from countries with barely any new infections. Johnson has got to fall on his sword for this, I don't mind a more level headed Tory taking charge.

It’s a complete nightmare with no end in sight, nobody can predict what will happen in the next 6 months it’s anyone’s guess

Would you rather be in Italy?

Taking back control

The EU are making a mess of this crisis

We're better off out of it

Etc etc

That's a big turnaround from what you were saying before, respect for you being honest about it.
I don’t think he should go ‘yet’ but he needs to get some sort of grip on this situation, it’s like nobody is listening and the country is becoming closer to financial collapse each day, we also need to get a massive grip on PPE and testing as it’s a mess

One thing I do admire is the furlough scheme, incredible from the government

He has to go. It's a monumental fuck up, no matter how it's dressed up.

equalise out the populations and it’s us and Sweden miles worse than anyone else- the two herd immunity countries.

He needed to get a grip on it months/ages ago and he was either unwilling or unable to take the required actions. His weakness over Cummings should have been the final straw and right now we will be the worst in Europe by a very long distance. Do you think he should go when it's over?

I think he might resign and someone else will take over

So the day after JRM forced all MPs into parliament this happens...

What a fucking clown show, everything they touch turns to shit. JRM looks pretty stupid now.

Which leads us to this...

It's embarrassing how incompetent this mob are.

It's making me miss David Cameron. That's where we're at now.

So basically you like the socialist bit but everything else is a fuck up. Can I suggest that you remember this next time you vote.
