It does seem that they are letting the booing wankers win. Sounds like some players are still going to take the knee though. So the racists will still boo. Can't say I think this is the way to go. Millwall players kneel, Millwall fans boo. Next game, Millwall players don't take the knee, Millwall fans win.
Does come across a bit like that doesn't it?
Okay, I wasn't aware of that.It does seem that they are letting the booing wankers win. Sounds like some players are still going to take the knee though. So the racists will still boo.

“Silent majority”
No Darren, you’re not the majority and we wish you were fucking silent.

Nothing, same as there was no need to highlight all the grounds at the weekend where players were able to take the knee without being booed. So if the Millwall fans clap tonight when their players stand arm in arm against racism, what are you all going to say then?
Nothing, same as there was no need to highlight all the grounds at the weekend where players were able to take the knee without being booed.
Its just a few seconds of staying silent or clapping, hardly deserve a medal for it.
'Silent majority' is another of those meaningless things morons can say to make their words feel weighty.
You reckon your boys will observe it in that manner? So if the Millwall fans clap tonight when their players stand arm in arm against racism, what are you all going to say then?

Millwall have a long checkered history associated with their fans though haven't they.Surely though, that disproves that they were booing because they hate black people then? Rather maybe, that the message has been put across, or interpreted as something other than equal rights for all races.
I get the impression some people just want to call everyone racist because they cannot hack that there is a different opinion to them when it comes to activism.
Because they get upset by the phrase Black Lives Matter. Do you think they will applaud it?Please explain why they are my boys.
Looking at it objectively what do you think is more likely?Surely though, that disproves that they were booing because they hate black people then? Rather maybe, that the message has been put across, or interpreted as something other than equal rights for all races.

Millwall have always had more than their fair share of racists. Anyone remember the Full Members Cup game at HR in the 80s? There was a really small crowd, around two thousand, so even fewer away fans, but you could hear the monkey chants for most of the game. Shameful.
THe club have persuaded the players to link arms tonight, not in a show of solidarity, but just to appease their racist base, as long as they don't kneel, there won't be any booing and so no negative publicity. Shameful episode.
I feel obliged to share this again.yeah but the city team was full of marxists
Looking at it objectively what do you think is more likely?
Scenario A
Fans of a club with a history of issues with racism, whose board were concerned enough about the potential response to their players taking a knee they issued a statement in advance stating it wasn't political and wasn't in support of BLM, were being racist when booing players taking the knee.
Scenario B
Millwall fans have a nuanced political view on 21st century Marxism, shared by large numbers of their supporters, and all decided to express that view by booing which coincidentally happened at the same time their players were making a gesture against racism.
I know which one I'd be putting my money on.
Because they get upset by the phrase Black Lives Matter. Do you think they will applaud it?

You understand the viewpoint of the people that boo more as you've expressed opinions that align with them on here and I'm interested to hear whether you think they will boo or not. It is a case of equal rights for all races and kicking out discrimination. What has that got to do with me? A huge amount of people have an issue with the agenda behind that. I'm just stating what a lot of people on here don't seem to be able to understand.
If it was a case of equal rights for all races and kicking out discrimination then I would seriously doubt you would get any booing.
How have you come to that conclusion? Millwall released a statement before the last game explicity stating they weren't taking the knee in support of BLM, something I don't think any other club had to do.If tonight there is solidarity with the gesture, then you can be sure as shit that it is the activism and agenda of BLM which is the problem, not that everyone who booed the other day is a racist.
If you think the booing was for reasons other than racism you might want to take a look at the responses from their fans to that statement. Or the responses from their fans to what happened at the weekend. We wish to make clear that taking the knee, for us, is in no way representative of any agreement with political messaging or ideology. It is purely about tackling discrimination, as has been the case throughout.
Why do racists always think that the majority of people think like them when all evidence says that the majority of people don't?
Got to love it when that IRA loving Internet bully tries to take a moral high ground on anything. Laughable.Yeah but according to you everybody is pretty much racist so surely that means "your" majority do?
