Racism is what we talk about the most after football. What he sees as a racist remark doesn't register as racism by many.

Essentially what I’ve been saying for years. It’s everywhere, it’s constant. It’s even from members of my own family. I’ve given up with the “by the way I’m part black myself” talk every time I hear stuff in the pub etc because can’t be arsed any more. And with shite you hear watching football in the pub for the knee stuff, I’ve taken to going for a piss at the start of the match. I’m dreading going to games if it’s still happening by then.

I hate this thread. I try to not read it or post in them but I’ll make this last exception. It really puts me off using the forum.

And? You seem to be under the impression that everybody who does a raised fist salute does it for the same reason.

As explained to you it is in wide usage for other reasons and most people who do it in these protests are simply doing it because they have seen a picture of 2 men who have said they were not doing a black power salute give the raised fist salute.

What can be done if fans boo at one of our games though. Are we able to request that the club ban a minority doing it and if it ends up as a majority doing it walking out and requesting a refund on your season ticket?

Les Ferdinand was correct over 2 months ago when he defended QPR for not taking the knee against City....I think all the clubs should bin it off now....if individual players wish to do so before KO, then thats all fine & dandy......but as a team thing, it all looks so half-hearted, half-arsed....just going through the motions....it now appears as nothing more than a yet another tick-box PR platitude.

So if say Dabo, Baka and McCallum say it matters to them and as a team the rest decide to support that what should happen? Cos I expect that’s the actual situation across most clubs. Otherwise who do you think is forcing these players to do it against their wishes?

I don't believe anyone is being forced to take the knee against their wishes, but I suspect there maybe those that feel the social pressure not to raise the issue.
