Can't see why he would go to another Championship side. Not worth the risk for him, given the experience at Swansea. If it is was a Premier league team yes it would be worth it, and I think that is what will happen.

As fans we are impatient, but in a game of football involving two teams, only one can win - and sometimes, neither. Somebody remind me, but if we were to sell a player for £5m, am I right that in terms of the 'funds available' regarding EFL financial regs, we are not allowed to re-invest the whole £5m. just a proportion of it?

That's my opinion in a nutshell as think we all realise the way sisu work,just hope if we get a good replacement in.
Think any more than 1 out its becomes more and more difficult.

Not sure. I personally think those two would probably be the best he could get. He's still far too raw and inconsistent in front of goal for a PL move and Burnley and Norwich would be the two in the Championship (presuming they go down of course) that would most likely be able to afford the fee.

Equally, I actually think a move to Norwich/Burnley is quite attractive. Likely to receive a massive increase in wages and he'd get the opportunity to play for a team that will automatically go into the season as favourites for promotion back to the PL.

Fair enough. I guess time will tell.

Doesn't Rodriguez's contract expire this summer? Apparently no talks have been initiated for a new one either. The same applies to Matej Vydra.

If those two are released it's not inconceivable that Gyokeres might interest them.

Forest next season (assuming they don't go up - and yes they'll have some cash to spend) will lose Brennan Johnson and Djed Spence, Blackburn will lose Diaz, their better on loan players, and are likely to revert to mid-table at best. Bristol City are close to failing EFL financial regs (there may be others). Next season, I'm hoping we can keep the loss of key players to one, replace them with a suitable player, then be able to attract high(er) quality loans (based upon our growing reputation. An interesting summer ahead. Really hope we can turn Barnsley over (although I'm saying that more with hope than expectation), as I think we can win at Bristol City on the Tuesday.

It’s just apparent that there’ll be no even ground where Jamie Allen is concerned; on one hand, he lacks poise and awareness, body strength and sharpness, but on the other hand he works like a horse, goes box to box, and chips in with a few goals (at crucial times). Maybe Robins keeps him in the team because of his ability to do precisely what the staff want from him, although on occasions his probable lack of quality is apparent.

I do feel that if we’re to progress, his position is one that needs upgrading. Whether Robins feels that, is questionable.

He was always I guess reasonable fitness levels but this season his work rate was something you never thought you’d see in him

All of those I’d keep ahead of him if rebuilding the squad. He’s on the level of Dabo and Wilson in that he’s a L1/lower champ player at his best.

Think there are a few in your list who would be lower end championship players. We need to evolve the squad so that Allen is not a guaranteed starter and rather someone striving to get minutes off the bench. He is a great presser of the ball and those attributes when trying to see games out in the last 10 mins is a valuable asset and on that basis he is a decent squad player.
If we were chasing a game we would need different options like Palmer as Allen would not be the right option.
