Without even joking really, I really wish everyone and I mean everyone, leaders and media alike, would just start calling him Ras just to pee him off. He probably wouldn't be that bothered, but it would be great to hear him always referred to as Ras Putin.

They were/are both mad Russians

The problem with the nuke deterrent is it relies on rational actors on all sides. Putin clearly isn’t one and from what he says it seems like he really would be fine to end the world if someone intervenes in his mission for empire.
I've never been one for starting fights or revenge, but if someone stood Putin in front of me now and gave me a gun, I think I'd quite easily put a bullet in his head.

Isn’t it only Hungry that are now stopping that now? Do keep up.
Probably.
Little known fact Hungary granted a Russian bank suspected of money laundering and financing illegal activities permission to open a bank in Budapest. This bank has full diplomatic immunity and an exemption that it cannot be investigated by police, security or tax officials. Reported to be Putin's private bank. Guarantee this bank won't get sanctions.

Below is a current map of all Aeroflot aircraft over Europe. Take a wild guess which European country is still leading the way in letting them use their airspace.

When the Russian tanks roll down the streets of Berlin at least the Germans can comfort themselves in the knowledge that they never went short of gas.

Yes they’ve always in global conflicts supported Europe before threatened

Is that all your ridiculous statement is based on? Or is there actually some informed knowledge behind it?

Given the military integration of western allies, it is inconceivable that they wouldn't get involved.

Try telling that to those Ukrainians who have been living peaceful lives and are now taking to arms against Russian invaders. You think Russian soldiers are just as "innocent" as Ukrainian ? I think you'll find the Ukrainians are reactive rather that anything else.
I understand what you are saying but as far as I'm concerned I'll be content with any
Russian aircraft shot down and Russian soldier lost.
I have no sympathy for German soldiers who were killed in WW2 . They had no choice either.
Since you have that shitty attitude, I guess you feel nothing for these kids burnt to a crisp? Brothers, dad's, sons dead because of some selfish and crazy prick.

The usual moronic fact devoid nonsense from you. NATO wasn’t around in the last major European conflict, it dates back to 1949. NATO is a all for one one for all alliance. You’re talking like the US aren’t in a pact with all the major European countries. They are, they wouldn’t have a choice to consider. Once Russia stepped foot in a European NATO country (4 of which has borders with Ukraine) the US is involved. End off. Unless it’s got a Putin apologist like Trump in charge willing to tear up a 70 year old treaty that every president before him has honoured to the latter.

Orban is in tricky spot though what with the people of Hungary and their historic dislike of Russia

Terrorising people with the threat of the apocalypse in the hope that it gives the west pause IS Putin’s nuclear strategy! Seems to be working on a few people already.

As for the second part - didn’t you say that Putin didn’t care about his own economy a few days ago? And that keeping Ukraine out of NATO should be the only sanction?

he doesn’t care as the sanctions he knows that will be deployed will have zero impact at all - thats a given And always has been

Ukraine was and never will be part of nato another given

your were predicting financial meltdown in the western markets - all FTSE losses were recovered yesterday werent they and the Dow is almost back to the same levels

Colonial Bob Stewart said he believed Russia could strike with nuclear action first if Putin believes the west may enter into Ukraine and threaten its territory its trying to control

Colonel Bob you know - the chap who was a colonel in the UN

So I guess it’s a choice - SBT a young lad who seems to have his main interest in Covtel or Colonel Bob - it’s a close call but I’m backing Bob on this one

I read yesterday he didn't want to but today he does, same with Italy they didn't but now do, I think only Germany are apposed.

But he is still a prick 🤣.
Looks that way. France caved in last night, Italy this morning. If Hungry are now going to agree that just leaves Germany and I can’t see how they can continue to resist it when isolated so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a done deal by this evening.

He sounds like a smart guy: Conservative MP Bob Stewart 'was kind of torturer' during Troubles

I suppose we’ll see - where did he say Putin would nuke first?

I’m surprised you don’t think the market reaction has been significant. I’ve not predicted a meltdown anywhere, but the market response has been a key part of Putin’s thinking since 2014 and it’s weird to suggest the economy is unimportant to him.

Playing both sides, the government here is screwed he is on verge of losing elections this year but he has his cronies everywhere so even if they get rid of Orbán he still has the government.

Name one instance where America have supported Europe unless it itself was under attack

the first thing Biden did was let Afghanistan rot

More coming out about how the Russian shock and awe tactic looks to be backfiring, how the only shock and awe is the resistance that Russian forces are facing. How unprepared they were for this battle, how unprepared they are to rearm and if the Ukrainians can hold out for 10 days Russia will be forced to the table

Also looks like sanctions will work because Russia is reliant on the west for raw materials to replenish arms.

China invade Russia? That would be a curve ball. I know you didn’t suggest it btw.
Well, taking the WWII analogy on, if Putin took Ukraine and continued, eventually resulting in actual military intervention from the West, Putin would have to look to the east, China specifically, for the kind of military support he would need (just as Hitler looked to Russia).

If China said no (as they would likely want to wait 'til the last moment to save themselves money and ensure being on the side of the victors) then Putin's deranged state would probably see him take that as them being the enemy and needing to fight them too.

So I'd say eventually it'd be more likely Russia would invade China than the other way round.

I know how ridiculous and suicidal that sounds, but people said exactly the same about Hitler and Russia. By that point he was so drunk with power and nobody dared tell him otherwise that this invasion, which almost nobody apart from himself thought could succeed, happened.

Not sure what Afghanistan has to do with conflict in Europe. Clearly just an immature attempt to look informed.

When was NATO formed? How many opportunities has there been to defend Europe since its creation? How many times has America been forced into defending Europe having been attacked itself since the creation of NATO? The answer is staring you in the face. NATO is the US defending Europe and vice versa. You’re either too stupid or too immature to grasp the basic facts. A 6th form debating group awaits you although I suspect that even there you would embarrass yourself with a void of the details and understanding.

Well, if you were in charge would you be willing to call his bluff, knowing that if you've misjudged his mindset millions, probably billions, of people will die?

They will be getting psychological reports of Putin and I imagine most of them would be chilling. He's shown plenty of times that human life means almost nothing to him, especially those of people that disagree with him.
