Guess it depends on how niche it is and job availability and what the wage is being compared to. (The terms and working conditions of each job etc).

It also depends on working conditions and the definition. It could be that one person thinks it is bad working conditions because they get their shoes dirty and the next dives straight in and doesn't give a shit.

Where did 10% a year come from? Teachers' pay in real terms has fallen 20% since 2010 and I imagine that's not far off how it's been for a lot of people.

The strikers who have had 'results' so far this year have still taken below inflation increases.

Executive pay and dividends are still being paid handsomely so the money's there, its just finding its way to a small clique of people, it's time that changed.

People who go to work every day shouldn't be struggling to live.

My mates daughter and son in law, both teachers are working abroad, they get treated brilliantly.
Both returning to the UK next year and neither will go back into teaching here, they get treated like shit.
We're going to end up with a real crisis if we don't start treating people better, not just in teaching but in several sectors.
