And people say they have no solutions to the cost of living crisis...
Great so in 2 years time when the cost of living crisis is over I will break even. And people say they have no solutions to the cost of living crisis...
M5 between Taunton and Exeter I reckon…On the M6 it would be pointless until you get to Cumbria. M25, pointless exercise, M1, pointless exercise etc etc. struggling to think of a motorway other than the M45 where it would work other than in small stretches.
It's practically the case already so needlessOn motorways in certain areas that actually makes sense
It makes no sense if the Government meant all the stuff they said at the COP conference. Oh but the environment doesn't matter now that's over. Same with green levies on gas bills. No need to be consistent or think of the bigger picture when you're looking for votes. Welcome to the world of Liz Truss. On motorways in certain areas that actually makes sense
Would prefer to pay money rather than pay in lives so agree with support for Ukraine
How much have we given in terms of money in military support?
What cost is there to do similar in the utility market at the point in the provision that would make a difference
So it’s no change the inaction is to hoard wealthJohnson to the public - youb need to feel the pain of increased fuel bills to help defeat putin, buy a kettle.
Johnson to the energy companies - fuck the war, carry on profiteering!
Still, at least we're not Argentinian politics! Talk about a lucky escape!
Exactly this. Looks like I’m giving a large proportion of my savings to energy companies this winter so they can keep posting record profits while paying out huge bonuses to CEO’s and dividends to shareholders. #levellingupJohnson to the public - youb need to feel the pain of increased fuel bills to help defeat putin, buy a kettle.

By the sounds of it, she'd just fix the lottery to win it if she wanted to, anywayApparently a genuine assassination attempt but the gun stuck. I’d be buying a lottery ticket tonight if I was her.
she speaks well all power to herA voter uses Polite Middle Class Disagreement, it is super effective!
More people in Britain believe the earth is flat. Tee hee hee.

Bit of expectation management here, or is that too much to hope?
lolecondly, she builds a cabinet/team of competent people around herself and not just the crazies
I vote for this option. Well, I don't, as I'm not a Tory Party Member...we are royally fucked
You still don't get it. The Tory party does not have competents it has proper neocons concernes only with enriching themselves and their donors. It is a rotten institution that needs to be destroyed. We can only hope for two things. Firstly, she’s been bullshitting the members and when reality bites, will follow more sensible policy. Secondly, she builds a cabinet/team of competent people around herself and not just the crazies
If she tries to be Johnson mk 2 and only has supporters in her inner circle we are royally fucked
There aren't many (any?) competent ones but some are crazier than others. I fear she's going to go for the crazier ones. You still don't get it. How far off are we really?James O’Brien did a segment saying we are close to being a failed state. I think that’s a bit extreme but he isn’t far away with how things could get if competent leadership isn’t installed urgently.
How far off are we really?
We don't have a working healthcare system, the police are so understaffed they can't respond to anything. Who is going to be paying the massive heating bills in the care system which is now all privately run? Anyone relying on their state pension or benefits is going to really struggle this winter. Inflation is out of control and they seem to have no answer past telling people not to get pay rises and putting interest rates up to make things even worse for people.
We can't get enough staff for various industries, we're struggling with imports and exports due to paperwork and logistical issues.
No idea about education but I can't imagine that's great given the state of everything else.
We seem to constantly lurch from one 'once in a generation' crisis to the next.
the same story as healthcare then really, and I'm guessing the same lack of a plan past vague announcements to increase recruitment. In education you have recruitment targets for new teachers being missed by a frightening amount, and retention remains so poor that 40% leave within 5 years. Which means that at a time when really you need more staff than ever before, you’re actually losing them at if anything a greater rate.

We've spent over a generation telling people the metric of success is how much money and stuff you've got. Now we can't find people who want to do jobs which aren't particularly highly paid and much of the rewards are intangible as it's based on providing a service and helping people rather than enriching yourself. Who'da thunk it?I’ve seen half hearted efforts to get retired teachers back in, not much else. And to be honest as I’ve written elsewhere I’m actively looking for a route out of the profession even if it means less job security. Just want more of my life back.
