Thing is, I am sorry she has died, despite being no royalist by any stretch, but it is surely going to test everyone's patience if it's wall to wall coverage for the next 2 or 3 days and it obviously will be.

Don’t agree with royalty at all, but if you’re going to have one you couldn’t ask for much better. Been a continuity and worldwide symbol of Britain all through the modern age pretty much from war time to the Information Age. The country will be a lot poorer without her.

Absolutely right. 24 hours a day rolling news. They'll wring it to death. I'll switch off after this evening because they'll just repeat themselves for the next week. It's very sad but it's inevitable.
