For me the sign the owners were done no so much about Hyam, I wasn’t his biggest fan, but selling that cheap that late to plug a six month hole that small rather than the owners subbing us the cash until Jan when we can almost certainly make a big sale just showed Sisu are done.

Its definitely the fee that's bothered me the most .. I mean there's tons of people on social media basically can't believe they paid 1.5 🤷

And I agree about sisu

Maybe, but on Saturday he may have a stinker & someone on twitter may call him a weapons grade c**t... then will it then be a SISU masterclass?

Probably something in between.

Sadly he's playing like bloody prime maldini going off their fans 😕

Let’s be honest his sale has made no difference at all to us.

They’ve conceded 17 goals - we have conceded 10 since he left

we’ve scored 9 and they’ve scored 20 which is a bigger issue

A player has gone and so the squad has one less in it but would be be better off now? Can’t logically see how

To tighten up the defence we've gone less expansive however, and that's partly why defence and attack columns are as they are.

Hyam leaving has also had an effect on our attack!

I appreciate that we are conceding less goals now without Hyam but he has just captained his side to top of the league and we're still rock bottom (Having lost less games mind).

Some on here said Dabo was worth £10 m and the next Wing Back in the championship - it’s fans

expansive isn’t a word I’d associate with Dom Hyam

like someone said further up. It is what it is but the bigger issue is players in contract come the end of the season. Fadz will be a year older. Can’t remember how long Rose has left plus other two CB are loans. Massive rebuild in the summer in defence

The point being if you can rely on your defenders, you can take more chances in attack.

It also partly explains why our defensive record whenever Wilson is in goal is good - we retreat more to protect him.

Bottom line is that we needed the money thanks to the (thankfully now deceased) wankers not having a pitch ready. Given the choice of having us in administration due to zero income or selling Hyam on the cheap it was a sale that was badly needed.
Not our player any more and we're still here so lets move on.

The whole point of this thread is to allow the bed wetters to have something to piss their pants about!
The fact that our defensive record is far better than theirs since he left MUST be ignored at all costs.

The side we bunged him off to on the cheap because our owners couldn’t give a fuck about tiding the club over is top. We’re bottom. Luton with half our crowds and presumably fewer resources are in a play off hunt while we are all hoping to finish 21st.

It isn’t hard to succeed in this division if you give a decent manager just a little bit of backing. A lot like some of our last minute draws last season we will be delighted to survive when really we should never have been anywhere near trouble.

This is without home advantage.

Take 1500 as the centre point. An average Championship player in a mid-tabled Championship side.

Can't think of another way to objectively measure this.

Surely, a player's worth is tied directly into the team's results and their availability for games.

I think the loss of O Hare has had far more impact on how we play

Tell that to the clubs throwing tens of millions to try and get to the Prem and failing.

Because the managers spunk it up the wall. Last season we were in a play off hunt, the squad needed reinforcing in a few positions. We decided to bung a few players off to bring in a left back, then we fell away.

Wasn't it to sub Wasps the cash so home games could go ahead?

If you are referring to the pitch there was a suggestion on drunken wasps we did not pay for it

Must be true then.

It was from someone not a rugby fan who said a local benefactor paid for it - the arrangement was supposed to be 50 50 - wasps didn’t stump up so he paid

I assume he’s referring to Overson
