Fair point. However I’m guessing Southgate’s thinking tonight was if we went for it and didn’t take the chances (we didn’t take the few we had tonight), we could’ve opened ourselves up to concede and lose. That point means that we will have to get hammered (4-0 I think) by Wales to get eliminated. We obviously want to avoid Holland but given the situation in that group they could finish 1st, 2nd or even 3rd if they properly mess up.Those who risk nothing, do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing
Notice this at the bottom of CJ's posts - can't help but think of Southgate (frustrates me)
