Poor penalty and should score the follow up
Do var now check every penalty save too?Incredible double save from Schezny
Mate they just check shit when they feel like it. It's about as consistent as my wifes mood.Do var now check every penalty save too?
Looking at the clock with 54 mins on it whilst being in the first half is weird.10 minutes added time, I look forward to getting out of the CBS at 6pm for a 3pm kick off
My solicitor will be in touch - I want a divorceMate they just check shit when they feel like it. It's about as consistent as my wifes mood.
You intend missing the second halves then?10 minutes added time, I look forward to getting out of the CBS at 6pm for a 3pm kick off
Agree - should have brought Foden on.What a mistake.
He gets called a genius, Godden gets a suspension when he didn't even claim the penalty. So diving's absolutely fine now. You're not a cheat. You're a genius. Great job, FIFA.
The awarding of tournaments to Russia and Qatar, the only bids which were flagged for concern by FIFA's own inspectors, said all one needed to know. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia is looking at a joint bid for 2030 with Egypt and Greece. More dirty money to have its say presumably.FIFA I used to shrug my shoulders about, but they have actually managed to get under my skin. Two phrases come to mind ' absolute power corrupts absolutely' and 'money being the root of all evil' has never been more apt about an organisation.
Another winter world cup ?The awarding of tournaments to Russia and Qatar, the only bids which were flagged for concern by FIFA's own inspectors, said all one needed to know. It would need to be. Anything to avoid giving it to a 'traditional' European host I suppose. Doubt England will host it in my lifetimeAnother winter world cup ?

“Traditional”?It would need to be. Anything to avoid giving it to a 'traditional' European host I suppose. Doubt England will host it in my lifetime
For want of a better word, but England/Spain/France/Germany/Italy etc.“Traditional”?
Probably mentioned elsewhere on here but Netflix doc about FIFA is worth a watch. Disgraceful.FIFA I used to shrug my shoulders about, but they have actually managed to get under my skin. Germany hosted one four tournaments ago! And France two tournaments before that. How often do you think these countries should be holding World Cups, and what makes them so special in your eyes? For want of a better word, but England/Spain/France/Germany/Italy etc.
I thought Australia deserved the bid that Qatar bought, so it's not some pro European bias. But we're looking at over 60 years since England last hosted it, when the USA, Mexico and Germany all had it twice in that time.Germany hosted one four tournaments ago! Between them, the five “traditional” countries you listed (all largely white, European, Christian countries….hmm) hosted the World Cup every eight years from 1966 onwards. I’m not saying give it to any old despot, but why shouldn’t someone else get a go? (I’m sure they had a great bid, but not sure Australia is the diversity we’re looking for here)I thought Australia deserved the bid that Qatar bought, so it's not some pro European bias. Doesn't seem right
you could argue it is traditionally south american“Traditional”?
This is a bit of a weird rabbit hole to go down...Between them, the five “traditional” countries you listed (all largely white, European, Christian countries….hmm) hosted the World Cup every eight years from 1966 onwards. I didn’t bring it up!This is a bit of a weird rabbit hole to go down...
Well not that but some hinting at it being racist to suggest the tournament go back to Western Europe for the first time in at least 24 years. Australia would be a new continent for the tournament to go to, some footballing pedigree already, a growing commercial market for the game, infrastructure already in place, no despotic regime etc.I didn’t bring it up!
I’m saying that Western Europe has no divine right to host the World Cup, especially considering how regularly they did so throughout the 20th century. And I’m saying that it’s a good thing that tournaments are held in countries of different races, faiths, and economic situations, so long as it’s safe for all fans to attend and economically sustainable to host.Well not that but some hinting at it being racist to suggest the tournament go back to Western Europe for the first time in at least 24 years. Or are you suggesting Qatar got it on merit?
