If it’s successful and bankrupts him at least he’ll be OK because he knows how to eat for 30p a day.

Im sure the kimono wearing fox killer will crowd fund the action if needs be so the person taking the action will not himself be eating happy shopper baked beans

It wasn’t our fault that the car crashed, we only had our hands on the steering wheel. It’s the fault of the driver in the car a mile down the road that never had their hands on the steering wheel. Jesus Christ, grow up and own what you did

Classic fringe politics this. “I would make everything better if I was just given the chance!” … gets the chance and fucks it royally … “Oh I was taken down by shadowy forces and not allowed to do it properly”

See Corbyn, Truss, Brexit.

She promised independence in 2023 and Parliament has pretty much made that impossible. So she has an untenable position now.

What's gone on?
I would think a combination of all the Salmond drama, losing the right to a second referendum in the courts and then all this transsexual drama with the UK government overturning a Scottish assembly decision has meant that she’s seen the music is about to stop so she’s leaving the dance floor before the silence. Not sure the SNP has another big personality to take her place, I certainly couldn’t name one. Can see the SNP vote dropping off now, especially in a GE. Only question is who is going to benefit from that, mainly labour you would assume but maybe the Lib Dem’s will win a couple of their traditional seats back.

The polls are against her on many metrics and key figures in her party in Westminster have turned on her

John Swinnie normally acts as the caretaker when this happens. Sturgeon despite being abhorrent in a lot of respects does still have charisma. I think Mhairi Black would be their best bet.

I can’t say I pay that much attention to Scottish politics TBF. Although I had heard of Sturgeon before she became the first minister which is probably testament to what a big character in UK not just Scottish politics she’s been over the years.

Black has been an MP since 2015 when she was just 20. Has a similar speaking style to Sturgeon and I think will at least make a go for the leadership

Its people like Joanna Cherry who’ve caused this from Westminster surely

I didn’t say Black would win but it’s who I would pick in their position.

In Westminster terms she is a fairly well known figure and clearly had disdain for Sturgeon even before the gender bill which was a total farce - also of course Blackford stepped down recently as well

Scottish Labour will be in a pickle over the gender reform as well as they backed it fully despite Starmer not supporting it

No one seems to have mentioned that I think Mr Corbyn is the first political leader since Jeremy Thorpe to be told he’s not fit to stand as a party candidate at a general election - I’m not sure Thorpe even had that

It seems Starmer acknowledges his predecessors anti Jewish stance and not acceptable

No one I’m sure disagrees
