With you there, but we can’t turn back the clock.

Make the best of it, stiff upper lip and all that.
Tally ho, Brigadier. 🇬🇧

Hopefully Reynolds sells to a sheep farmer, who subsequently turns the ground into a luxury sheep dipping facility. Let’s see Mullin tuck away penalties every week with a few sheep aimlessly eating grass in front of the goals.

You know there’s an outside chance that this could happen, and I’d welcome it. The bastards.

If he plays for Huddersfield today, keep an eye on keeper Tomas Vaclik, I’d love to see us go after him in the summer. He only joined them on a 6 month contract and has a VERY impressive CV

The 33-year-old has previously played for Sparta Prague, Basel and Sevilla before his time with Olympiakos.
Vaclik has won titles with Sparta Prague, Basel and Olympiakos and won the Europa League whilst at Sevilla.

the six foot three tall goalkeeper has also appeared over 50 times for Czech Republic

Boasting an impressive honours list, Tomáš won the title with Sparta Prague before joining Basel, where he would go on to win the Swiss league on three occasions, also wining the Swiss Cup once. Moving on to Sevilla, he was part of their 2020 UEFA Europa League winning side, earning a runners-up medal in the UEFA Super Cup before picking up another league title with Olympiacos in the 2021/22 season.

No doubting his pedigree but he's had a torrid time lately & far too many red flags over his injury history etc. looks an absolute shadow of the keeper he used to be.
He was only on the bench last week, they preferred the young lad Bilokapic to him.

The Newcaslt goalkeeper who was MOTM vs West Brom for Hull tonight Darlow Joy might be one to keep an eye on. In the post match interview he was very no committal about plans past the end if this season.

Coventry want to buy McNally
By Alan Nixon

Coventry want to BUY centre half Luke McNally from Burnley after his impressive loan spell.

McNally has been a stand out for the Sky Blues and now Mark Robins’s money men are talking about a permanent deal.

The powerful defender only joined Clarets in the summer from Oxford but has hardly played. His chances of a game in the Premier League would also be slim next season.

Coventry would have to pay around £2 million for McNally and then hope the player is willing to take his chances with a move.

Wow. I can’t believe Burnley would sell him for only £2m? Maybe some big clauses? Also can’t believe we’re talking about signing players for £2m🤩🤩

This is going to be such an interesting transfer window coming up, we need and I’m certain will go after better players, who and how many is the interesting bit, up and coming starlets like Howley, Burroughs and Eccles could blossom with better players around them, signing McNally would be a fine acquisition imo then someone for Doyles spot then what about McFadz fine in this division for a year but what IF we make it to the Premier.
But priority for me whichever division we are in is a partner for Vik and pace.
Going to be very interesting.

How many players come in during the summer - 5 or 6 max including loans. Having three from the youth set up who are potential first team regulars could make a big difference to how the still limited budget is spent. It's about time too, because Bayliss and Shipley were the last to come through over 5 years ago.

Perhaps that’s why there’s been slow but shuttle change in the scouting department and Academy been a few comings and goings there.

Takes time mate, there’s a number of trialists 15/16 year olds coming and doing their but it’s a tough long road, get a couple each year you’ve done well.

Then we just hope they have a safe landing if things don't go according to plan.

Realistic targets, I think Jerry Yates to replace Vik plus maybe Ike Ugbo as rumoured to be leaving France. Ex Chelsea link

Lewis Wing on a free from Wycombe, would suit our team, along with players such as Nathaniel Ogbeta and Lucas Ness, also would look at James Trafford on loan from Man City, a Gk, done really well at Bolton this season, good competition for Wilson, keep him on his toes.

A wildcard could be Lawrence Shankland, always seemed to be linked with him, and with funds from the Vik Sale maybe we could be within a shout.

Jerry Yates isn't that well regarded at Blackpool, started the season on fire but was poor for large parts afterwards and a lot of penalties.

Shankland would have been a good signing 5 years ago perhaps…

I’d like to see us replace Vik with different types of striker we can use when things aren’t working out. A big battering ram, a poacher, someone with pace. And I’ll be honest like Vik Gus and Sheaf I hope I’ve never heard of them because then we’re probably buying at the right time.

Jerry Yates to replace Vik? Really? He's a reasonable player but has none of the same attributes. We're going to struggle to replace all of them but we should be looking at better than Yates imo.
Not saying he's any where near the player Gyok is, just be good to have in the ranks, will need depth, can see Walker going and Tavares going out on loan so will need options

Aberdeen actually have 2 good strikers on their books, but its very difficult to tell how good when you're talking about the SPL. @Frostie may have stats available that could tell you if either of these are capable of playing in The Championship.
