In fairness to him, his numbers are fairly good this season. 9 goals and 4 assists in 38 games.
Agreed...a decent return for a midfielder.
He looked a great prospect in his early days.
Imho, he's coasted most of his career, knowing full well he's good enough and will be well paid.

Genuinely can’t believe Luton are where they are. I get they play a style of football which appears to work for them, but how have they not be found out or completely outclassed by some of the better footballing teams in the league.

My memory of them is a team full of 6 foot plus players who spent a lot of time in the gym and not much on the training ground.

As I say fair play for making it work, but in a play off situation (i.e. when we sneak into 6th) I’d fancy us to snub their one dimensional tactics and outplay them.

But we haven't beat them in 2 attempts this season. What makes you think we would this time?

I think this season our style of of play has probably been quite similar to theirs in fairness but they are better at the back. The lad they play at 10, Campbell is a carbon copy of Jamie Allen in the way he plays, he's a busy little fucker. In fact they all are, they basically out work teams.

When did we last beat them?
Edit: it was the 3-0 away win in the league 2 season - I don’t think they’d be overly worried about playing us.

I seem to remember us being linked to him.

Since we have been back in the Championship our record against Luton hasn't been very good, lost 3 and drawn 3 but I wouldn't call them a bogey team. Prior to the last 3 years we have a reasonable record against them.
They are a good team but we have beaten better teams before in this league.

Helps having a tiny pitch as well.

Decent article on the run-in. We get a small nod, but this was the stat I was surprised at -

'The Lions have won only once in their past five games; incredibly that goes for every side between fourth and 13th, except one.' (Preston).
