Transfer Rumour Panzo coming back? (6 Viewers)

Be a bit random to have him on the bench all season then have him back.
In fairness he was preferred over Rose on the bench. The defence has generally been superb this season and protected Wilson brilliantly so little reason to change from Jan onwards. Panzo is still a work in progress and will have plenty of improvement left in him. Robins and Viveash will have seen enough to know if they think there is enough potential there. Also, remember the Sunderland fans seemed to say Doyle burnt out for them last season at League 1 level. Doubt many of them would have said he would do so well this season.

I would have panzo back. Price dependant of course. He isn’t needed or wanted by forest. They need to get players off the books and wages freed however small.

If we want to progress, we can't really be going for downgrades on what we had this year (Doyle). It is the job of recruitment to be scouring the market for a Doyle replacement (difficult), rather than settling for Panzo. Unless he's agreeing that he'll be happy to be part of the squad.

Panzo is only 22 so he's got a lot of developing to do and is the kind of player we need to take on and improve. Much like Gyokeres, who was 3rd choice below Biamou at times and just kicked on with us after signing him permanently. Doyle is obviously the better player and talent but his future is not with us.

If the fees not that high I'd be ok with him back.

Needs to work on his concentration so he can be more consistent. if he can do that could be a decent player at this level, and I think if anyone can coach the best out of him it's Adi.

I'd definitely take him.
He's a young inexperienced player who had an up and down season, that happens.
Get him in, get him settled, get him a full pre season and he'll do a really good job.

He looked fantastic in that first game away at Sunderland where he offered a goal threat as well, and as good as our defenders have been, they havnt chipped in with enough goals.

And let's be honest, we need the bodies ASAP.

But as it stands we only have 1 CH at the club at the moment, and he's not going to play every game at his age.
If we could sign Panzo on a permanent, it gives us another CH option and will free up a loan place.

And he was only on the bench because we had 2 other loans who excelled. The chances of getting both back are slim to zero.

Would depend, as ever, on price and what he wants. Quite happy with him if cheap and pushing for a place, less happy if not so cheap and considered first choice!

I think it’s another loan if he is coming back. He’s contracted until July 25.

Maybe a makeweight for Gyokeres going the other way?

I can see us getting Panzo on a perm and punting our play off revenue at McNally on a perm. BNC might be a season long loan. He’s 19 so it’s possible Arsenal want to see how he progresses in the Champ.

I'd be happy with Panzo coming here permanently. He was really good up until that Wrexham game. He lost form as did all our defenders when Fadz got injured. Then Panzo himself got injured and Doyle cemented his place in the team.

But we only had McFadz, Dolye, Panzo and Rose, Doyle was having to play out of right because Rose wasn't trusted, then Fadz was injured Doyle played central and Rose came in. Once he was in direct competition for a place he hasn't managed to get much game time.

Panzo got injured and couldn't displace Doyle.

Exactly, 4th choice Centre back with everyone fit.

You’re not wrong, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t a good addition nonetheless.

If I recall correctly, Sheaf and Gyokeres struggled to get in the team as first choice starters on their loan spells. Gyokeres is our star striker and Sheaf has developed into one of the best progressive deep lying CMs in the league.

That doesn’t mean Panzo is going to be a star. But, if Robins and Adi want him back then clearly they see a lot of upside in signing him.

Our success is because we have a great coaching staff that improve players. Over the last 6 years we can count a lot of players who have left us and have regressed. Only JCH and Chaplin being success stories.

Panz and Fadz with A.N. Other as the right CB would work. Fadz was a great support to the young lads so I can only see bright things for Panz if he came back and was given the time to work with Fadz and discover his ability.

We don't want to be depending on McFadzean though. He's done amazingly well to play so well so often the past two seasons, but one day he'll fall of the cliff and do a De Zeeuw, and we need the players in place to step in whenever that happens.

Don't think Forest will want to keep him with their recent expenditure to stay up. However, I think they will want their money back which was reported as £1.25 million with probably high wages. Think Adi has wanted him for some time but Panzo is still to fulfill his early potential. We chased Walker for a long time, and unfortunately, that did not work out too well. There was a strong rumour Rangers wanted him with the ex Chelsea coach/QPR manager wanting some of the better Chelsea prospects that did not make it in the Prem. He luckily gazumped us on JCS who has had an injury nightmare. Will come down to if we feel Pazo is potentially good enough and the wages we can offer

But fine margins as he wasn't million miles away from being in the starting line up and few time she got back in he didn't look out of place most of the time

Also McNally and Doyle not here anymore. So let's minimise the loss as much as possible
