As far as revenues concerned he might be right, but as far as I'm concerned he should have made the increases incrementally and not pissed off people who have been loyal to the club over a number of years, (none of whom, on this thread, have disagreed that prices shouldn't go up).

This loyal fan :poop: is really irritating, all fans who had ST's last year have had a price increase, they are loyal and sucked it up.

Corporate had been under-priced for years. There is a simple solution however, if fans think it's overpriced, sit somewhere else.

Okay, but this is also your post earlier?

Granted you did say likely, which is not a definitive term, however you've already suggested earlier in the thread we wouldn't sell any boxes from renewals or from the waiting list. The same has been suggested on Twitter.

There is still plenty of time for the Club to sell more boxes.

Please point out where I stated no boxes will be sold?

I mean given they've only sold five I very much doubt they'll reach that figure.

Also, no one stated the club wouldn't sell any boxes.
I wouldn't take it on a couple of days in. Larger organisations would have different levels of sign offs and potentially have to onboard them as a new supplier which can take time. Not saying we won't struggle just think it's too early to tell.

'This loyal fan is irritating', fucking hell.

And my ST didn't go up 300 percent.

But you fail to read mine that they don't need to to increase last year's revenue. Anything to keep your little narrative going tho hey?

I've stated on numerous occasions it was imperative that both STs and hospitality go up, especially the latter as the previous prices were far too low. I've also been a big advocate last year on the club looking at ways to maximise commercial revenue as it has continually failed to do so since returning to the CBS.

You're purposely looking at ways to counter my arguments and continually failing to do so. Give up.

I think this is a massive stretch. There really isn't much onboarding involved with regards to purchasing a box.

I am merely pointing out the flaws in your opinions. You clearly object to the idea they could make more revenue or you wouldn't be arguing and being so defensive when you are pulled up on it maybe you should give up.

Depends on your financial system and if you are in an industry that is regulated. Majority of companies would need to load CCFC as a new supplier. I'm assuming you have been in SMB's for your career.

That’s because it wasn’t massively underpriced to start with

No ones arguing that it wasn't. But given that's the case the increases should have been incremental.

No one will persuade me different. Not even selling all the boxes, which I hope happens.

I feel the same about the increase from 60 to 65 on the senior citizens tickets, Should have been gradual.

My business is an SME, as will be the vast majority of box holders both current, old and new. Very few large enterprises are box holders at the club.

I could've sworn there was a bunch of whining about kids' tickets too, so not sure where the idea everybody else happily sucked it up has come from.

If we did sell the boxes then quite categorically and unarguably the strategy would have been proved correct.. from a commercial/ financial point of view at least.

But new ones potentially could, I've worked in FTSE 100's and regulated organisations where loading a new supplier would take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks. It isn't a stretch to say they wouldn't be able to turn it around in days. Again not saying they definitely will sell just saying its a bit daft to call victory after a couple of days.

Very true, however they didn’t try to harangue the club & hold them to ransom to try and force the club to do what they felt entitled to
Well the club did end up doing what they felt entitled to in that case...

Yes and that's wonderful but we're talking about SMEs here. How many FTSE 100s are going to be lining up to purchase a box at CCFC?

Respectfully, and as I said, you're reaching.

You are ridiculously blinkered on this. Say Jaguar did want one it would take them at least 2 weeks to get through the procurement cycle. Coventry Building society the same. I would say severn trent but they probably wouldn't be allowed with their governance structures. Some companies only have monthly sign off on spend above specific levels they can't all just bang it on a card because the director/owner wants one. You have a lack of knowledge how larger companies work I can tell you know I'm not reaching at all. I will say I have no idea who will be lining up to buy but a few days in doesn't prove there isn't.

Not sure why you're getting defensive? I understand and accept your point about onboarding in the context of large businesses but doesn't change the fact that said larger enterprises within the region haven't aligned themselves with the club previously for various reasons - and I personally can't see that changing or if any do (CBS/FG will likely take boxes) the intake won't make a significant dent on total boxes sold. That's hardly blinkered....

And maybe that’s what Doug wants to change. We know he’s out there networking for a sponsor at the very least. Norwich have the likes of Lotus on board, no reason we couldn’t do similar with local businesses.

Some larger enterprises may not have aligned themselves with the club because of the toxic relationships between club owners, council, stadium owners and fans. Very different now. For now.

His interview the other day seemed to suggest he wasn't looking at that but wanted the current customers to pay more

Does it matter? They could sell them for £1 and be up from last year.

Just like the ST prices it’s very simple maths: if we get more revenue this year from the same number of people Doug is right. Otherwise he’s not.

This is just clueless

There isn't any reason to not approach them. I've said in previous posts there's definitely scope to collaborate with the larger enterprises within the region and the club should try again.

But the packages need to be bespoke and tailored to each company's objectives as I think the previous approaches have simply been 'will you sponsor this' and shockingly the club have been rebuffed every time.

There really needs to be a rapport created whereby the club gains an understanding on what JLR/Aston Martin etc. wants to achieve in the local area and how they can assist in helping them along that journey. For instance if its apprenticeship drives why not create a package whereby Aston Martin/JLR could have a stand near the front atrium inviting young fans to talk about forging a career at the company through their apprenticeship programme. Then within said package the club could push key announcements/messaging out on their socials, post an advert within the match day programme etc.

Just because it's Doug King knocking on the door this time, that doesn't mean he'll be able to wave his magic wand and get them over the line in some capacity. The approach needs to be positioned right.

That categorically will be the case I'm sure. As stated, now is the time to make an approach now SISU have gone. But again, as stated, the approach fundamentally needs to be right.

I'm not getting defensive maybe slightly frustrated at your previous lack of acceptance that it may take organisations more time to sort procurement. On companies willing to spend the money that is going to come out over the next few months and could well fall flat on its face. What I don't see is how we are different to a lot of other clubs selling their boxes for the prices they are. Again value for money aside, more that there are companies out there willing to spend it. When Doug was interviewed he did talk about improving the offering overall but again not sure how that aligns to other clubs. I do think the SISU debacle will have put off some businesses being seen to align to the club will be interesting now they have gone if that improves I know if I owned a business it would have made me think twice about publicly being associated.

I think it would have been daft of him to come on and say we have upped the price to turf everyone else so we can deal with other companies...
It is naive & stupid in the extreme to think that he’s not interested in new business and just wants existing boxholders to pay loads more
