It's odd really...I love Vik to bits, but in the real world, he's done us a massive favour, turning our £1m investment in him into £20m in only 2 years (ok...we've clearly also helped him massively, before anyone has a go !)
Largest fee ever received by the club will help us rebuild stronger with a broader team of good players rather than relying on 1 main man.

Vic will go down in our history as one of our best ever strikers.. without a doubt the best since the Premiership days. He wanted to leave, he wanted European football and more money than we could offer. We’ve got to accept and respect that.. and be grateful we saw him grace our shirt. Realistically, no players has done more for this club in the last 20+ years. Taken us to within 1 kick of promotion to the Premier League, made us a 20 million pound profit, he could have easily ended up achieving nothing.
