Beverly Turner recons its all about his stance on covid conspiracies. She’s made a complete arse of herself this afternoon, even by her standards.
Absolute loon she is backed by thirsty middle aged men who think she’s going to shag them

Yikes, difficult times. It takes a lot of resilience to face any form of accusations.Ive just been through false allegations. It’s fucking horrible and one of the worst experiences. I’ve still got a brain and can see when someone is clearly abusive though. And I also know people who were raped (multiple sadly) and that my discomfort was still nothing compared to what they went through.
grow up.
To be fair in 2015 I couldn’t vote for a Labour candidate as the fucker got banned a few days before for corruption. These of course were your Tory voting days Ian
I think it's easier now. I needed about 10 pints of Dutch courage first so I could handle the rejection, now they just keep swiping until someone says yes without any shame or all of your mates knowing you've been blown out!Absolutely fair point mate. Tate is preying on misguided and unfortunate young men too. For his own personal profit.
I'm not sure that any of these conspiracy nutters or incel advocates actually believe what they say, but they know they've got a ready market in people who need to blame their own failures on something/someone else, and that there's money to be made from it. It's a tale as old as time, to coin a phrase.
It's hard for young men growing up now. I remember how utterly useless I was around girls, which was painful enough at the time, but at least I didn't have access to some lethally stupid arsehole telling me it was all their fault. I guess I might have fallen for it, especially if some of my mates had too...
Anyway, I'm not really a "hanging's too good for 'em" type, but Tate needs a good long stretch out of the public eye - he's a genuine menace.
What I don't get about the people hurling themselves behind him in support and claiming it's a media conspiracy, calling him a hero and blah blah, even though he's on the same political or tinfoil side as them surely they must consider the possibility that he may have actually done the things he's accused of.

He might well have done them and nobody should be defending him. Equally he might not have, we don't have the facts nor should we. What everyone is entitled to including an obnoxious git like Brand is a fair trial and I don't see how he gets one with everything so public, it's hard not to be influenced and remain impartial if selected for that jury. What I don't get about the people hurling themselves behind him in support and claiming it's a media conspiracy, calling him a hero and blah blah, even though he's on the same political or tinfoil side as them surely they must consider the possibility that he may have actually done the things he's accused of.
But he’s got better hair.Paul Foot is about as funny as a male Miranda
Why not?we don't have the facts nor should we

I suppose that's the nature of celebrity in a judicial setting, either people are aware of the case or otherwise aware of the person and a jury would have to be selected in good faith to look just at the case presented to them. Can't imagine that's an easy task for any case of sexual allegations, much less one so high profileHe might well have done them and nobody should be defending him. I wouldn't recommend going out and taking photos of kids if I were you.
#napolimp would have you hung drawn and quartered as a peado.
Read a lot of allegations against Walliams on Reddit in the Brand threads-people used exactly the same phrasing as you. But also Noel Fielding, Stephen K. Amos and also, possibly most surprisingly, David Jason. Although it is Reddit, so a huge pinch of salt is required.Yup and you know there will be others too. Maybe this will open another can of worms.
One person I always expect to hear stories come out about is David Walliams.
May be nothing in it at all, but have always felt there is something off about him.
He has just always given me the creeps.
When you look back at how Brand was back then, it does all make perfect sense doesn't it. All in plain sight, just as with Savile.

The comments underneath that are for the most part very disturbing, championing Turner and Brand vigorously. I only use Youtube for things like music, but even so I had noticed that the comments had got a bit weird lately-very aggressive, mocking, insane..something that has grown over the last 3-5 years. It used to be a place where you could just enjoy stuff you liked. Maybe it's since Covid/lockdown? Have the nutters got Youtube now?
I actually have a problem with the non-"mainstream media". They seem to be held to a totally different standard-certainly legally-and have totally different moral spectrum to the "mainstream media". Pretty much everyone in the "real world" has dropped Brand-at least in the short term-whilst investigations are carried out at least. It's almost unanimously seen as the right thing to do given the nature of the allegations. Whereas in the online universe, there is not only no whiff of doing that, but rather you get people like Musk backing him to the hilt and he doubles down on everything with a conspiracy theory-because he knows his audience, this is exactly what they think anyway, and nobody is going to cancel him online, God forbid!
The internet should have the same moral and legal standards as the rest of society but that horse seems to have bolted: we didn't sort it out when it was new, now it is too powerful.

The additional problem is due to the algorithms people probably only hear/see views that they already share, reinforcing what they already believe. Basically echo chambers.
Balanced, critical thinking has long gone which is why we have such polarisation of strongly held views now.
Not up on the exact details of this Brand affair but don't these historical accusations/ cases basically come down to the verbal evidence of the parties involved rather than like a current case that would have more physical evidence etc? Mendy was bang to rights according to the media for years but managed to "get away" with it for these reasons.

From what I recall, at least one of the parties produced written evidence that she'd attended a rape clinic (for want of a better phrase) after the assault, and had been prescribed a prophylactic (morning after pill) and a course of antibiotics.
From memory, she said in that written statement that she was too scared to report the matter to police, given Brand's fame.
Now if that was put into the hands of the police it might be interesting, but I think this was in the US rather than here.
I wonder if that’s just standard practice or that means there was “evidence” left behind that hopefully they sampled.
She looks like a cheap Julia Hartley-Brewer impersonator, who herself is pretty odious.
Well both are mostly hired for being female and willing to espouse right wing nonsenseShe’s more attractive and is really only known as she’s the ex wife of an Olympian

She never used to she presented some Five Live thing and did cooking and travel shows - was totally mainstream and bland pre Covid
Yeah been rumbling for some time that one. There's a very serious allegation against Stephen K Amos and the young man involved took his own life.
