It's becoming increasingly obvious that this was a planned attack designed to provoke a massive response from Israel. The aims of the attack were far more politically & psychologically- based than any military goals.

Finally sounds like US are putting israel under increased pressure. They won’t have much support left unless they are seen to actively minimise civilian deaths.

Videos of naked and bloodied women filmed by Hamas on the day of the attack, and photographs of bodies taken at the sites afterwards, suggest that women were sexually targeted by their attackers.
Few victims are thought to have survived to tell their own stories.

If you didn’t know it was that bad you haven’t been paying attention. It was reported by all outlets including the BBC at the time. The media are now rehashing these stories as good client journalists because our government wants to distract from Israel’s own behaviour since that day. 6000 Palestinians children dead if you haven’t been paying attention.

Yep I’m quite offended (though I don’t really matter) that Israel feels the need to keep saying look the people that did this were psychotic monsters. I know! Everyone I know knows! Now where are the non psychotic monsters who know how to act and respond to build something lasting?

It's okay, the house of representatives have voted something through that basically says substituting Zionism will be classed as antisemitic afain and district attorneys have written to certain channels to state that any succour towards the Arab opinions they will be in court or so I believe . I'm sure there normal everyday words can be substituted if you feel inclined?

Hamas aren’t in the West Bank yet the Israeli government seem fine with the murder of civilians there too. They need to come out and admit that they’re of the same mindset as young Kieran on here

Which is ridiculous because Jews are not excluded from being anti-Zionist. In fact when some Jews invented Zionism other Jews immediately invented anti-Zionism, Jews are the original anti- Zionist and still are to this day including Jews who live in Israel. They see Zionism as a direct threat to god and because of their beliefs certain sects of Judaism are exempt from doing national service in Israel unless they volunteer and even then they’re in their own outfit and do things like observation and and medical, they don’t tend to be frontline soldiers.

Said it before these settlers are a huge problem when it comes to time to hopefully seek a 2 state solution. Large number of religiously motivated armed settlers that are not going to be moved willingly. They are the ones voting in these extreme Nationalist parties that are propping up Netanyahu and setting the Gaza policies.
More armed settlers than there are members of Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups.
US finally making first steps to address this issue by clamping down on settler funding from US groups and now denying them US visas.

I agree completely, there were posts previously about all the Palestinians being killed and it turning their families etc towards extremism, it doesn't help the matter when you have these hard line extremist settlers on the Israeli side taking over part of the Palestinian territory and having the power in the government to maybe force Netanyahu down a very hard line
Just to clarify I am not on either side, I just want to see peace and a 2 state solution where normal people can live their lives in safety (just in case anyone wanted to jump on to say I'm on the side of Hamas etc)
