yes. you had an outcry on the internet about it. read through this thread. the usual crowd saying its racist, how wrong the police were. the police mentioned a female officer was assaulted but no outcry whatsoever. no mention on here of it

now the new footage appears. the so called left dont say a word

labour mps prime example. all over it. One even went to see the family. now radio silence from them. why? Because they don’t want to upset the Muslim vote. it’s embarrassing

Grow up with this endless bullshit about the left and policing.

The Tory party of 'law and order', shredded the police, it's just that the fuckwits who voted them in will believe any old bullshit.

As for supporting 'muslims' against the police, I don't see anyone here saying that. Most people seem to be saying that kicking and stamping on a person who already seems subdued is taking it too far. No one here is denying the police the right to defend themselves or to use reasonable force to make an arrest.

If you, or anyone else here, thinks they can do a better job, then apply and give it a crack. If you don't want to be a regular officer, become a special, they're desperate for good people.

Of course you'll need to be able to quickly and calmly assess a situation (i.e. not jump to conclusions either way based on ten seconds of video), try to put your prejudices to one side, understand the basics of the law, and have the courage to put yourself at risk when every one else is backing off.

If you're the kind of person who would pull a gun without thinking, or give someone a kicking because they 'deserve it', thinks 'muslims' are all the same, or would film rather than step in, then I'd save yourself the bother. You're not cut out for it.

Just to help people who struggle with the concept.

Saying that all Muslims are the same, is just a tiny bit racist.

If you get triggered by being called a racist, then either don't imply it, or just man the fuck up and accept you're a racist. Better than whining on about the nasty leftists picking on you.

It is nuts. I am definitely left, but simply cannot recognise any of the supposed "leftist, woke" accusations labelled and thrown this way.

To sum up my take on this incident

1. The police were entitled to use force to restrain the suspects

2. The ones who attacked the police officers should be charged and sentenced.

3. I don't agree with the on street protests at all

4. That one officer overstepped the mark. I have a degree of sympathy, but you simply cannot take it to that level.

Sorry, if that's a bit extreme and loony left wokeist for some people.

I'm not though and I'm not triggered.

Just confused and don't recognise that as me at all

It would only trigger me if if I thought that WAS me.

I don't care if you are, I was just being facetious.

You simply cannot say "Muslims play the victim card".

That's quite racist.

You could have at least have said "some ", or "a few", or "I have known of."

In saying "Muslims" you are saying all Muslims there. You may wish to retract that comment.

What race are Muslims again?

I thought post election the left and right bollocks would've gone now Labour in power.

It's as bad lumping all lefties the same as it is saying all Tory or Reform voters are racist.

Can we not just get back to dividing people between cunts and non cunts, it's easier and more accurate.

Exactly. Couldn't agree more.

And I wish the righty Tory c*nts would stop calling us all lefties.🤪

I doubt he's done anything wrong.
And I'd say he's smart enough to keep it that way.
He's an opportunist. And let's be honest, it's not the most honourable profession.

He’s already being investigated by the SRA for falsely branding a teacher a racist and naming her which resulted in death threats from the Muslim community.

Yeah he's determined to stir up racial hatred and make himself famous.

It seems the solicitor has numerous complaints against him and is endorsed by George Galloway to contend an election in Birmingham to challenge the Labour incumbent in 5 years time.

The young female teacher he falsely accused of racism has had her life ruined. He doctored video and just made up a false claim.

His conduct in the campaign in Birmingham where he opposed Andy street for mayor was littered with accusations of bullying and harassment

Oddly none of this was mentioned when he was doing the media rounds.

Not that simple though is it?? For example…I have no idea where the boundary is where it changes from one to the other… my guess is probably around Hinckley somewhere, but I can’t be 100% certain!!

He is a Muslim Tommy Robinson.

The thing is though Muslim community leaders are all demanding action against the police for racism following this incident.

This isn’t really conducive to racial harmony as it clearly means the Muslim community believe this was a targeted racist assault.

I don’t think if a ethnic police officer kicked a white man in the head Justin Welby would be getting involved - do you?

Nope.

I don't see this as a race issue at all.

Anyone know why the individuals were stopped at the airport?

Im hoping there’s going to be some humble pie and apologies. Whipping up of racial tensions is the last thing the country needs. The stuff outside the police station was frankly disgraceful, especially as the officer had been suspended, an investigation started and statements released which indicated the situation wasn’t clear cut. As I said in another post I was relieved when the footage was released (I’m not sure if it was leaked or not) but it needed to happen

Racism needs to be called out and dealt with but so does this sort of shit as it’s making the situation worse and causing more divisions in society

Looks like he was tasered again just before and including the time of the headshot. You can see the arms stiffening against the body, relaxing and stiffening again in the new video moments before.

Agree though, he was totally out of control.
I believe the taser prongs generally stay attached. Pressing the trigger again will send a charge to reneutalise the suspect. However, if the old lady was in contact she also could be shocked so may be the reason why he resorted to other means. Not condoning the use of force, just looking for reasons.

Surely the behaviour of trying to whip it up is actually racist itself?

It's to threaten and intimidate but it's just widely accepted now, same with the riots in Leeds.

If people say anything they get called a racist.

Same as the woman in the video shouting "he's done nothing wrong".

It's just the part of society where people think those in their own circles are innocent angels who have done nothing wrong and will protect them rather than calling it out.

The radio silence about the grooming gangs being a good example.

I think we both know that will be the next angle from the lawyer, Galloway etc. I have read there were potentially two prior incidents at the airport but don’t know if that’s true. hopefully everyone will let the investigation play out and justice will be served all round.

You are literally reading the lawyers next line of defence.

Why does it matter?

Be interesting to hear the lawyer defend about hitting police women, especially after his views on women in general and liking a bit of Andrew Tate.

He waves a Palestine flag though so I guess people will just back that.

It does matter, because if it doesn't look like a valid reason to stop them, it then gives fuel to those who say they did nothing wrong and were just picked on because of race.

There must have been a reason to stop them. Not questioning it, just asking what the reason was.

It will pipe some down if it's announced they were involved in some suspicious or nefarious incident.

With nothing being said yet, it does give opportunity to those who announce they did nothing wrong.

Not sure it’s racist but it’s certainly unnecessarily whipping up racial tensions which is as bad in my book as this then just plays into people like Robinsons hands

Someone mentioned social media being a major problem in all this and I agree, not just the echo chambers, instant organisation riots, non peaceful protests etc but Putin, Xi and others are in the background helping to whip up a lot of these divisions. They’re 100% winning the disinformation/social media war and the extremes here and elsewhere are feeding off it.

We’re a multicultural society and this needs all groups to come together, as well as the social media platforms, to ensure this doesn’t continue to escalate. There’s lot of vested interests all round though so sadly I’m not overly optimistic
