Might not be a popular opinion but I think WLADITT is a proper depressing song to sing before a game. I get the sentiment, like we’re proud to be born in Cov, but the idea that all we’re destined for is to live and die here is a bit grim tbh, like there’s no escape 😬😂

Disagree. In my will I have requested being buried back in Cov , dread to think being next to a thick manc ⚰️

Just watch the videos from the semi final then read the comments from fans of other teams especially Man United fans, they all loved it. Did 99% of these these other fans know the words? No it was the singing of the song in unison that impressed them and shocked others. If our fans learnt all the words and it was played in full it would add to the atmosphere.
Songs like this sung full blast shuts the other fans up just like twist and shout sung repeatedly does it stops the other fans from starting and they become frustrated.
Best example years ago at Leeds at Christmas time there were only three or four hundred of us if that, we started chanting Sky Blue Army it went on and on, and as it did the Leeds fans started by having a go at us. The longer it went on they started on their own players and our players responded and we eventually won. I’m not saying we were responsible for us winning but I really think we contributed.
Anyway my advice to the fans is learn all the words, and to the club read out the teams two minutes earlier then play the whole song.

What did we think to the timing at the Spurs game? Later than we usually have it.
yea our group noticed it was later, thought it was going to be "too" late and would get cut off before KO, but seemed absolutely perfect in the end... hard to know what the ref is going to do i suppose!

I remember that vs Leeds & it’s a fantastic point you make.

Would be better if everyone knew the words. At the moment its about 6 lines at the end and then stops abruptly. Not sure its that intimidating

Maybe start it half way through and sing only the 2nd half.
Came across this not seen it before but much better missing out the initial build up.

Yateses brings back happy memories of the one in Manchester with Cubby who was and hopefully still is legendary for his drinking ability, and Capacity to turn up the next morning, after at least 20 mulled wine's! Top man!

don't particularly like the enemy. or the song wladitt. but it kind of works.
open to better suggestions, of course. but guess we're stuck with it until then.

Talk about missing the point 🙄
There simply is no escape from tribal identity, never has been, never will be.

That’s magnificent really, and it is great to realise that other inferior clubs are ripping us off.

It starts off like the theme tune to Blockbusters followed by a drunk Jam tribute act but at least it isn't Twist and Shout
