What’s the point restating things to you? You think he’s above criticismWhat (other than hysteria) do you base that on?

Well most areBecause he offers a solution, rather than just more of the same shit.
He consistently asked voters "are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?"
And the answer was a resounding no.
So that was it, a very simple question, and a very simple campaign. Job done.
Of course time will tell if he will change things, but given its a 2 horse race, the outcome of the election shouldn't be a suprise to anyone. The press fooled everyone by saying its going to be a close call, but the bookies had Trump way ahead.
We can't say he definitely will, because he so often comes out with complete bullshit.Harris and Walz offered solutions too. 4 years ago the US was still in the grip of a pandemic, economically it is now in much better shape.
He will run the country into the ground and make himself dictator.
Makes sense to meHarris must have been utter shite to get thrashed like this, what a failure on their side. Now the current most powerful country in the world has a wannabe dictator running the show.
Just saw an interesting interview with some historian guy who argued that the reason people voted for him is they have sensed the dominant power of USA slipping, and Trump told everyone he’d keep them as the dominant force on planet Earth, the whole MAGA thing. Similar to how when we started losing the empire had a guy come along promising to keep us as top dogs by whatever means necessary & appealing to national pride we’d have probably lapped it up.
Whether there’s something in that I don’t know, but I just sense this is bad, bad news for the world. Don’t know much about Harris so maybe she’d have been a disaster, perhaps the message here is that the USA Empire (and is is one in all but name) is starting to unravel.
You mean the rich?Well most are
A sitting President with full control over Congress, the SC, and now immunity from prosecution is already a pseudo dictator. We can't say he definitely will, because he so often comes out with complete bullshit.
It is entirely possible though.
It’s not meaningless picking specific individual examples is irrelevantThere are people with degrees in tourism .. my dad who can't say weekend properly and struggles with basic math has a degree in counselling .. at some point even you have to accept that it's a pretty meaningless barometer
The economy is in a much better placeYou mean the rich?
There are millions of people with degrees not worth a wank that are no more clever than the average worker .It’s not meaningless picking specific individual examples is irrelevant
Not at all, but his message has clearly resonated with American voters who've overwhelmingly kicked Biden out in favour of Trump. What’s the point restating things to you? You think he’s above criticism
She clearly isn't very smart herself, if she thinks that the majority of Americans are all thick, and that's why they voted for Trump.
If that WAS the case, then that's a massive indictment on the Government and the education system, and exactly why a change is needed.
Yes but overall there is still a correlation between level of education and vote. There are millions of people with degrees not worth a wank that are no more clever than the average worker .
Fact
These people fall into the " I voted for " category of the educated
Makes sense to me
And it’s not possible as capitalism leaves the power with those who have all the money
China
Russia
will be licking they’re lips

Biden hasn’t been kicked out strictly speaking, not that he’d have won either. Trump the man is a fascist. Trump the politician is also a fascist. Not at all, but his message has clearly resonated with American voters who've overwhelmingly kicked Biden out in favour of Trump.
I think a large part of the problem is many people are so blinkered by their hatred of Trump the man, that they've lost all sence of Trump the politician.
I mean she can't even spell Susanna properly
I had Luton down for the autos, nuff saidMad that it doesn't translate onto football forums , you know by what some of the highly educated post on the football side of things
What??? Their economy is shit, their national debt is now unserviceable, and the general public are up in arms about inflation and rising prices in the shops. The economy is in a much better place
Trump will destroy it much like brexit did ours so the rich will be ok but everyone else will be massively affected
USA a bit different though as they all dream if they work hard and get a bit of luck they’ll be in that Uber rich group
Well most people other than the Uber rich will be worse off without doubtWhat??? Their economy is shit, their national debt is now unserviceable, and the general public are up in arms about inflation and rising prices in the shops.
They didn't vote for change because everything is wonderful.
The only good thing that comes out of this is that at least Democrats will concede without violence.
That was by no means a given if it went the other way, as we saw the last time, and as Trump had clearly primed the nutters for this time. That's not an echo chamber view, btw, unless you're living in denial of the facts.
The big winners here are the authoritarian strong men; Putin, Kim, Netanyahu, and the like, and the losers are the people who suffer as the result of their policies.
It's not likely to be great for the planet either, I'm afraid. Coal, oil, fracking, and climate change denial are all back with a bang now.
Part of me is beyond caring. I worry for my kids and their future, but I'll be gone before the worst of it, should it come to that.
The best solution is probably to stop worrying about it, ignore the science and the news, and just take the "Who gives a fuck about anyone else", line. It seems to be how it works in general these days.
Please don’t do that I know you won’tThe only good thing that comes out of this is that at least Democrats will concede without violence.

Who is sneering at the electorate??

Trump has campaigned on vastly expanding the authority of the executive branch over the federal government.[18] This would be accomplished through the imposition of a spoils system via Schedule F,[19][20] and directing the U.S. Department of Justice to go after domestic political enemies.[21] Other campaign issues include: implementing anti-immigrant policies and a massive deportation operation against legal[22][23] and illegal immigrants;[24] pursuing an isolationist "America First" foreign policy agenda;[25][26] repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act;[27][28] pursuing a climate change denial and anti-clean energy platform;[29][30][31] terminating the Department of Education;[30] implementing anti-LGBT policies;[32][33][30] and pursuing what has been described as a neomercantilist trade agenda

In terms of climate change, medieval religious opinion, conspiracy theories lack of scientific education and understanding they probably areThe US have been labelled backward on this thread
Looking at America today, it needs drastic action. You know that’s not possible without disastrous consequences don’t you
