What a sneering snob. You do realise that same attitude is also what pushed people to vote against you? You're your own worst enemy. Laughable you cannot see it.

'Our side always accepts the result'.

There’s a difference between saying a stupid decision is stupid on the internet and rioting to prevent the peaceful transition of power.

Own your fucking politics you pussy, “oh you made me do it”, what a cuck.

She has pledged to do some pretty good stuff if elected, but will probably not have the votes to do very much.

Trump needs to get beaten convincingly so the country can move on, it’s not in our interests for the US to be a mess.

Ah, the tolerant and compassionate left strike again. 'Fuck you', he screeches. Why is it always so hard for you guys to accept other people's opinions?

We don't need run through anything again. The shit the Capitol has been denounced as not good. The issue is when people on your side of the political spectrum have a tantrum, not only do you not admit, but you turn into Stevie Wonder and fail to call it out like cowards. You're a massive hypocrite, just like most people who claim to be 'compassionate' and 'doing the right thing'. I posted links to Trump supporters being beaten up and it was met with silence... All it has done is prove me right.

Echo Chamber: Noun

"An environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered."

You can use whatever word you want. It was a terrible event which has let down the Republican party massively.

I hope lessons will have been learned, but I am not so sure they have been. The issue is that this divisiveness and unwillingness to accept the opinions of others is a matter for both sides of the political spectrum, regardless of this one incident. People won't even admit who they vote for any more because they are scared of getting tarred and feathered. I am curious whether that will have had an effect on the polls as well.

It’s also one where you can incite rebellion to prevent the transfer of power and still be allowed to run

Mate it's not our country , the yanks don't give a shit what we thinkn

In the real world the bookmakers say its over.
Trump 8/15.
Told you. The Real World. Congratulations to the President of the USA.
Hope Haji scores 3 tonight. Got to be a Republican.

Well the economy was the biggest issue and most rural Americans see the Democrats as elitest. Harris coming in late didnt help and she is too nice and bland. Trump played the 'outsider' man of the people tough economics guy. Not even close by the looks of it sadly.😮 Putin and Netanyahu are have a party today.
And North Korea and racists and misogynists

Sorry could you give an example?
I think generally blaming uneducated people for election results that you dont like is a direct swing at the poorest in society , it's too easy .

And from somebody who worked with people from the poorest backgrounds in the army you'd understand entirely why people are the way they are

You get 10 minutes of the most Progressive views, currently having a meltdown.

It seems the US is not ready for the first DEI President. Personally surprised as I think I over reacted to the media support of KK. And of course the polls.

Now if the Dems had actually had an election would they have gone for KK, I think not, if they had appointed someone who was electable who knows. They had an open choice.

It seems the only group that the Dems did well with are college educated white women. A bloody nose for the media.

Will Trump survive his term? Look what happened to Joe.

i’m not sure why you’re being so insecure about your education and being spoken down to?

Well the US have already been called a backward nation full of thickos

Blaming? All I’ve said is the main correlation is lack of education because you had an issue with that being mentioned on twitter by someone.

I don’t really get the one of the lads comments. Better to have your own opinions than follow the herd.

Mate I’m the only liberal in a friendship group that’s left wing is somewhere in Reform territory. I’m the only Remainer in the village and my friends are mostly agency workers or unemployed. I’m also the only one with a degree bar my best mate. Just to get that out while we’re playing poor person Top Trumps.

What I’ve seen since the advent of social media is a massive rise in conspiracy and tabloid nonsense. And a refusal to talk about it with anyone who doesn’t agree. Everything is “immigrants get a free house and a free car I saw it on Facebook” and let’s be honest it’s the only issue that’s ever raised generally. There are genuine concerns around social cohesion and the like wrapped up in there, but mostly it’s no deeper than a boomer Facebook meme about how homeless veterans deserve more than illegal immigrants that falls apart on the slightest questioning.

I love these people, but their ability to parse information is not great. One of my mates keeps getting scammed on WhatsApp by fake women, another believes literally everything they read online, a third spent lockdown arguing with nurses that Covid didn’t exist cos he read it online

None of them are right wing in the classic sense BTW. “Traditional Labour voters” is what you’d have called them in the 90s. They want tax on the rich, investment in public services, crack down on big business. They just also want no brown people about and that’s the driving force above all else.

Call it what you want but there’s a serious problem with people with poor information literacy being exposed to the internet. It happens on the left too, a hippy girl I know is a great example, but it’s far far more prevalent on the anti immigration right.

Point I'm trying to make is, the tide on here, and the UK seems to be Trump is the worst thing that could happen

So why has America voted him back in? And it's not even close, he's pissed it

Just because people voted him in doesn't automatically make him a great guy and the best choice.

People voted Brexit, people voted Boris Johnson. Those things are demonstrably shit.

People voted for Adolf Hitler!

My own experiences are similar although more through colleagues and family rather than friends. I find it fascinating hence raising questions here so it’s somewhat demeaning to be labelled and some kind of eltist labelling everyone stupid when I’ve done nothing of the sort.

My experience is you absolutely cannot please these people. The anger and resentment runs too deep, reality doesn’t matter. They will not turn away from populists until they feel serious harm. I’m disenfranchised too, I worry about my family, but I don’t turn to populists.

Evo is right though it’s the groomer that is responsible not the groomed the bully not the person who’s bullied and on and on

Id be fearful if I’d crossed trump and if a couple of Supreme Court judges are replaced this term it will be really unbalanced

Mate

I have a 3 close friends that went to university and 2 of them voted for brexit

I'm just saying 🤷

Nah the elitism goes deeper than that. What uni and what grades did they get? :p

The data support my experience. The dividing line in the west between left and right is level of education. Obviously averages are not every single instance.
