How much would they pay? Not even half what we did
Still better than paying his wages to do nothing.

Bidwell is virtually my first name on the team sheetYou could add Allen and one of Bidwell/Dasilva to that list as well
(assuming a replacement is bought in first)
Is that because of how good he is or due to the alternative?Bidwell is virtually my first name on the team sheet
He's a good old-fashioned pro, a good solid defender who knows his job. You need people like that, not a failed left wingers like da Silva. Stays a lot lot closer to his man. Particularly as we are playing 4-3-3.Is that because of how good he is or due to the alternative?

I’m a fan of his too. I think he’s fine going forward…just think we could do with a younger version. He's a good old-fashioned pro, a good solid defender who knows his job. if we can get a proper LB, perhaps Wagner may fit the bill, we need to keep Bidwell. Dasilva can be moved on, he could do a good job for a team playing wingbacks, but his time with us must be over if we gat someone else in.I'd be amazed if left back is not one of FL's priorities, if not January then definitely the summer.
Bidwell or Dasilva can be back up, doesn't really matter, but we need a more modern rounded left back there rather than an old fashioned pro.
RB cover Van Ewijk loan
LB cover for Bidwell loan
Central Defender with experience and a leader.
CM of quality and experience and a leader.
For the last two I would be happy waiting until the summer if it means landing the right people.
For me Dovin and Wilson are fine in goal
Would like another striker to create some limbs too
A pogo Wolves style will do!Eurgh 'limbs' - behave
loans as cover are a waste of moneyRB cover Van Ewijk loan

Burroughs? I mean he's contracted and adequate for the cover. Both flanks!loans as cover are a waste of money

He’s here to stay…another 2.5 years right?I wouldn’t let Dasilva be anywhere near the team again
I don't see Vik going there. He is going to want Champions League and United are light years away from that.We can only hope that the Lampard “ pull “ ,
will help us short term , as Deadly Doug’s philosophy on loans will have to go out of the window, as if rumour is correct, he’s struggling for money in general , until Vik goes to manure
Hope he enjoys the U21s leagueHe’s here to stay…another 2.5 years right?

Like Dennis Wise?I can’t see any reason why proven Prem players on 100k a week won’t drop down to a bottom half Championship club tbh
No not like that, he’d been out of the top flight for 5 years before joining us.Like Dennis Wise?
If a player hasn't squandered their cash they can afford to play for fun at the end of their career. Having family in the Midlands would help after years of a player living a long way from them. Dropping a division as they get older would help prolong their career.
And having Lampard as manager could also help.
He played for Millwall for 3 seasons after leaving the Prem. Then he joined us.No not like that, he’d been out of the top flight for 5 years before joining us.
Scored 6 goals in half a season from midfield too, not a bad return for someone pushing 40He played for Millwall for 3 seasons after leaving the Prem. Then he joined us.
But he still dropped down to keep his career going as he got older.
We looked to be going down when he joined. I just thought he was a thug before he played for us. But what a player. Exactly what we need right now. Effortlessly ran the midfield each game. Certainly never came for a last payday.Scored 6 goals in half a season from midfield too, not a bad return for someone pushing 40
Dennis Wise had already played for Millwall and Southampton across 3.5 seasons in the championship before joining us.Like Dennis Wise?

Even better when you consider those 6 goals came in just 13 league games.Scored 6 goals in half a season from midfield too, not a bad return for someone pushing 40
Is he adequate cover? We're basing that on him doing a job 2 years ago. He can't get a game in the SPL.Burroughs? I mean he's contracted and adequate for the cover. Both flanks!
Burroughs can’t get in the Kilmarnock team and before that was backup for St MirrenIs he adequate cover? We're basing that on him doing a job 2 years ago. He can't get a game in the SPL.
Spent 2 seasons in League 1 with Millwall before they got promoted IIRC.Dennis Wise had already played for Millwall and Southampton across 3.5 seasons in the championship before joining us.
Tim Sherwood springs to mind ,he was dreadful when he played for us.Spent 2 seasons in League 1 with Millwall before they got promoted IIRC.
And that's my point. Top players do drop lower than the Prem so they can continue with their careers. Some just want to continue playing and dread retirement. The problem is taking on players that are well past their best.
