I just find it tiresome when people usually on the left pretend British culture doesn’t exist but every other country’s does. Then do what you’re doing and demand an itemised list they can shoot down one by one to prove their point.

Every group of people has a culture. Go on a local Facebook forum and you’ll see the culture of your local area, England, UK, Europe, all have cultures of various levels.

Don't want to shoot them down one by one or anything remotely like that. I want an idea of what culture people are fearing is on the verge of disappearing because I'm struggling to think of a single thing I'm concerned is about to vanish from life in Britain.

I mean if you want to take our culture from Facebook groups then we're already fucked.

Nah, this is the extreme argument again. There's nothing wrong with immigration or being in immigrant. You often have a better perspective. It's the quantity of numbers which is currently unsustainable that we are talking about here.

There are also many immigrants in the UK who think there has been too much immigration as well. It's a perfectly reasonable stand point.

And I used Facebook groups because we’ve both been in the Finham group and laughed at their culture of being suspicious of people walking during the day or teenagers existing. I grew up on The Riddings and we moan about New People who don’t understand that you should flash round the blind bend from Bates Road or stop in passing places (not bloody park in them!!) and not on peoples drives, or build stupid McMansions. None of these things are law they’re just unspoken agreements on how we can all live together in harmony.

But what you're describing there changes over time irrespective of immigration so not really sure how restricting the number of foreigners coming into the country is going to solve that. He did also mention that they seemed to have a culture of finishing on time and also had enough discretionary income to go out or straight out from work which is always a good thing.

Admittedly I have lived there, but if you've visited recently and cannot see any effects of immigration then any debate just isn't worthwhile to have.

Obviously I know there have been changes (duh). But the existence of Turkish barbers (or Polish supermarkets, or Huguenot weavers) in Britain does not preclude the existence of a British culture, or necessitate its erasure.
