Much like your evidence for typical rents on here.

What, this evidence?

League 1 club rents:

Stevenage - 25k (could face 75k though) http://www.thecomet.net/news/stevenage_football_club_win_a_reprieve_on_rent_1_537909

Doncaster - 100k http://www.thebusinessdesk.com/yorkshire/news/352154-rovers-agree-keepmoat-lease-deal.html?news_section=7

Bournemouth AFC - 15k a month (down from 30k a month) 15k x 12 = 180k a year http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=143155

Colchester - 300k - no website for this, but few on here have said 'The U's' pay 300k a year.

Walsall - 460k - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2011/mar/30/walsall-stadium-sale

Average: 213k. Joy said we pay 6x the market value, 1.28 divided by 6 equals 213.3333...

Pretty sure this is concrete.

Well if they only want to pay 170k a year then maybe they should move the club to a venue that matches that rent like the butts maybe?

I would say it's incomplete, but since you called me out, I had to reply.

I was going to post this on a new thread, but because it's incomplete I decided not to. My research is indefinitely suspended at the minute.

Pretty sure Crawley pay rent, but no figure so haven't included them. If they pay rent, I'm sure it'd bring the average down.

These all have links that say how much they pay.

Funny how you question my fact-based sources yet you've started a thread about someone else's opinion, who you agree with, but you're trying to pass it off as fact! Ludicrously funny and hypocritical of you.

I don't know what facts Grendel has posted on about undisclosed transfers.

We've been in this position since we sold HR. The only difference is, we haven't the income streams to paper the cracks. And we're in a double dip recession so alternative income/investment isn't available. We were £40m in the red when we owned HR and in the Premiership!

SISU haven't been the best but they've faced an uphill struggle from the get go. Some talk of them as if they'd invade Poland and attempt to wipe out the Jews to get their hands on some property!

Why do so many of you want to knock the SBT?

What are you doing to try and save the club, at least some people actually care enough about CCFC to do something, to give up there spare time and put there names forward to be shot at?

If you care do something rater than just knock those who are trying?

Go to a meeting and put your points forward?

And you accuse me of not being a "real" Coventry City fan, yet you spout shit like that! You're one of those who want the club to fail so you can say "I told you so" to a bunch of people you will never meet. You sad little fool.

You know what,i hope sisu get the ground and fuck the club over for good. It's what some of you deserve.

Where exactly are your facts to back up these two claims??? Or do you believe anything "Aunty Joy" says?

And likened to kduffy/Grendels claim about his source saying that he had "Estimated facts" on undisclosed transfer fees!

In a light hearted way, yes. But also re re-inforce the points I was making. I find that argument and comparisons are far better for discussions than name calling. Mind you, when you have no basis for your position at all, insulting someone or calling them names becomes your last resort...

Steve, I can only speak personally not for anyone else on here. I have absolutely no problem with the Trust per se and whatever it is they are trying to achieve, which is still as clear as mud to me.

However, the Trust put themselves forward as an impartial and balanced fans' group who are trying to do their best to help strengthen communication between the club and the fans, etc. Look at this: http://www.skybluetrust.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=57

Some interesting things on there, particuarly bits like To seek to strengthen the bonds and dialogue between the Club and the community which it serves and to represent the interests of the community; and To encourage the Club to embrace the interests of its supporters and of the community it serves in its decisions and To encourage the principle of supporter representation on the board of the Club;. Now, personally, I stress personally, Jan's comments both on here and in the press do little to further the goals listed above. Why is the club going to listen or take seriously anyone who is slagging them off left, right and centre. Then there's this bit: To work for the financial success of the Club;. Now for this club to be finally successful it needs to get that rent down for a start and then to hopefully buy a share of the Ricoh. However, the Trusts' spokesman has said that is the last thing he wants SISU to do. That, really is my problem. And again, I'll stress it's my problem and not necessarily anyone else's.

Why do so many of you want to knock the SBT?

What are you doing to try and save the club, at least some people actually care enough about CCFC to do something, to give up there spare time and put there names forward to be shot at?

The whole "League One average" argument is completely spurious, as you well know. We have a PL stadium and this was paid for by ACL's shareholders who need repaying, to help them pay back the loans they were forced to take our when they had to meet the shortfall when CCFC messed up. So we owe ACL. Now we've got relegated through no fault of ACL's, we can't use a "League One average" argument, as that was never forseen by ACL or anyone else. The money needs paying, end of argument - nothing to do with any other club.

Why don't Torch, Grendel and Taylor form your own rival supporters group so show the strength of feeling for SISU and their actions. With all the fans who support you, you could probably have a full AGM around a single pocket of a pool table.

Oh no, sorry, it's a lot easier to cynically critise other fans who are trying to make a difference and who state the bleeding obvious to a newspaper.

I don't need to start anything. I'm all for SISU doing what they can to get the rent down, buy some of the Ricoh and to try and make us successful again.

On the other hand if you're happy to support an impartial, balanced organisation like the SBT then good for you.

Why don't Torch, Grendel and Taylor form your own rival supporters group so show the strength of feeling for SISU and their actions. With all the fans who support you, you could probably have a full AGM around a single pocket of a pool table.

Don't worry the AHT are worth £20M so they won't be wiped out. They seem to do a good job of investing themselves.

There's more going for my argument than yours pal, even the people who you defend think the rent is too high

You can't compare someone to the Nazis is a 'light-hearted' way. We're talking about people who oppressed the German and occupied (even more so!) people's for the duration of their reign and theirsole objective was to create a 'master race' by annihilating the Jewish and Slavic races - sick and twisted people's. They are possibly the most evil regime that has ever existed - and that's saying something!

I weren't insulting you, WS said it isn't like SISU are the Nazis, but you actually compared the 2.

Are you stupid?! I posted the links next to the figures and made my OWN, INDEPENDENT calculations, which, unfortunately for you, came up to the total "Aunty Joy" came up?

The links are where the facts are, from varying sources. You might be an "old codger", but learn how go on these websites before trying to feebly dismiss them!

There's no evidence that the rent is too high.

Just because you compare two things doesn't mean you are saying they are identical. The point I was making in the Nazi analogy was that, no matter whether you want the ultimate good for something (Germany or CCFC) doesn't mean you have to support the dubious tactics used to get there (i.e. trying brazenly to bankrupt ACL or declaring yourself Reich chancellor and re-occupying the Rhineland)
