Binks and lati in a back 3 though?

Neither are as bad in a 3. During our winning run:

Binks played in wins against Bristol, Blackburn and QPR

Lati played in wins against Bristol, Blackburn, Watford, Swansea, Sheff Wed

Obviously you’d hope Thomas could come back in if at all possible but it’s certainly better than either of them in a 4

Hate to say it but we are in for an almighty thrashing at Luton.
How can we possibly match their full on hell bent, manic desire for survival with our half arsed attempts at maybe getting a chance to challenge for the lottery of the third promotion place?

We certainly don't look like a side desperate for play offs

I wasn’t remotely impressed today. We didn’t turn up and gifted goals to a player who shouldn’t have been on the pitch.
Today was so predictable. They had only lost 4 games at home in the league in the last 11. They also beat Liverpool in the cup during this. I pointed out to you the two players that are a danger. They scored 3 goals. One of them now has 8 goals in their last 7 home games and the other isn't far behind.

This is similar to the next game against Luton. It won't be easy. They beat Bristol City 3-1 today. But we will still have a few that see them in 22nd and say we should beat them. Some people will never learn.

Think both of those two get exposed in a back two. Especially Lati if Thomas isn’t fit better to have a system that suits them.

I really don't think it matters, we're all over the shop. Sheff Utd will just brush us aside.

We need a totally different approach to the game if we play them.
we need to do to them what Plymouth did to us today.
They lost their next 3 games after they beat us and all the teams that beat them sat deep and conceded possesion.

I said if we performed we’d win. That hypothesis wasn’t tested today.

Who said it was a given? We were saying IF we turned up and played our best we should win. We didn't. Piss off back to the Sunderland forum
Let's change history from our pre game exchanges hey?

We mentioned they don't lose frequently at home. I said about the 2 dangerous players who scored their 3 goals. You tried to pull me apart for saying it. It still happened. I'm sorry but I've had enough of getting dragged into arguments with idiots. Goodbye

Collins dreadful,
Bidwell , liability
Lati , liability
Saka, non existent
Simms, clumsy and too soft
Wright, half arsed
Allen, looked like a schoolboy
Thats too many players not competing in an important game.
If Luton put a physical team out, they will fold again. More likely to play better against a better footballing side like Boro.

MVE was worse than at least 3 of the players you've mentioned and Rudoni was very poor as well.
Still, still in with a serious chance of play offs with 2 to go so still a great achievement.

If Frank can adapt I still give us a fighting chance of going up

If we try to do the current system better I don’t see us going further than the semi-final - we simply haven’t got the players yet

I'm not really sure sheaf and dasilva would have made any difference. Like they didn't when they came on
You could've bought CR7 and prime Roberto Carlos today and would've had little difference. At 0-0 though rather than 3-1 it's a different story. This far in to the season you HAVE to start your strongest possible 11. Granted we're scraping the barrel with injuries, but Sheaf on the bench and Bidders instead of current JDS is NOT your strongest 11. Regardless who you're playing. It's not like we're a Chelsea or Man City and have got the squad to rest 8 for a nothing cup game. Our strongest 11 this season are average at best at times.

I feel like the floor for some of these players is extremely low. When they’re off it they’re not 5/10, more like 2 or 3.
