@ Numbnuts...Sorry Covstu.......Use your brain mate. Look at some of the names I've mentioned. Hudson http://oldcoventryonfilm.vidmeup.com/view?q=4f3b7ffc1ba75.flv and Rees was sold to WBA in 1968 for £65k Superb CLASS footballers, in Ronnie Rees's case he came through the Coventry youth developement. The comparison of the previous owners is purely a benchmark showing that they bought good players. Apart from Dann and Fox, what have SISU bought in comparison. Simple really......F**king Sh*t is the answer mate.

Sid, with the greatest respect (as you come across on here as a decent chap) I cannot understand for the life of me why not having your old seat is such a problem. Yes I want my old seat back but if it has to be in the further down the row or 2 or 3 behind or in front, right now, I don't care. If needbe I'll suck it and see until the next full season starts and reclaim my seat properly or try to. You and I have been made to watch our team from a far and now we are back, you are kicking your heels in at potentially not getting your old seat. To be honest thats pathetic and not even a real reason in my opinion.

I've already answered this really. No, it doesn't have to be exactly the same seat. But we want to go back to the same bit as before, hopefully with the same regulars who were there before. As it happens, I had the same seat for every Ricoh game, and the same one at HR for the 38 years before that. If you don't regard it as a reason then there's not much I can do about it. Having not been to a game for over a year after 50 years of seeing every home game, I wondered if the desire would be there if we returned. It is, but the 'fanatic' element has gone and we shall have to see how it goes. I don't need a reason to go or not to go these days.

The point is that it would surely be far easier for the club, and a strong selling point, to offer people their old seats for a limited period before letting them go to others. Remember that we only had about 7000 ST holders, some (not us) with PSLs. That leaves 25000 seats for the rest. It's up to them, they have a real opportunity to reach out to the diehards here.

Just for you Covstu.......I've said for a very long time(approx 2-3 years now) I won't give SISU any money. That means I won't give them ANY money...Is that clear enough for you?....Or is I WON'T GIVE SISU ANY MONEY. Not clear enough? When SISU f**k off, Then, and only then, will I return to watching my team again.ok? As bigfatronssba says in his post #70 What's the difference between YOU shouting your f**king big mouth off about Sixfield attendees having the right to go there? I've got just as much right NOT to go to the Ricoh.!!!

Hang on a minute. When a total Sixfields boycott was called for all we got was how it's an individuals right to go or not go.

Same applies now. If some don't want to go that is up to them.

Yeah, of course it is.

tbf there were a couple who stood up for peoples' right to go to Sixfields who said they wouldn't go as long as SISU were here and, well... fair play, genuinely hope they find a time they feel they can come back.

As for me... I'll break my own boycott to reward good behaviour ;) They're on a short leash though, and they've missed a trick in not getting me to sign up for a ST ASAP with daft prices but, hey... we'll see how it goes and enjoy it while it lasts, eh.

Who cares. If you don't want to go, don't go. I'm sure the 25000+ there on the 5th will have a great time, while you and your morals wallow in misery.

I'm sticking with my principles and morals, it's a no from me. SISU have done nothing that doesn't have some sort of "Hidden proviso's tied into the return to the Ricoh"(So much for transparency) I have never/will never forgive them for what they've done to my Football Club. "Taxi for SISU!"

Dispise SISU with a passion for what they have done to our club and supporters and will never trust them again. Have never been to Sixfields and never would, but respect the views of anyone who did.

Would love to be able to say I have "moved on", to quote Timmy......................but i haven't. When it was announced that we were going back to the Ricoh my resolve collapsed and I just cannot wait for the first home game back in Coventry. There were times when I genuinely thought we would never play in the city of Coventry again.

Roll on the 5th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm heading up from the South Coast and will pick up the old dear on the way. She had my ticket to the last game at HR as I missed my train after 'oversleeping' after a Kasabian gig.

I also took her to the first game at the Ricoh so will take her to this one again. She's a closet Sky Blue!

Now we are back, everything else can wait IMO.

Who knows maybe SISU have turned a new leaf?

Let's just see, the main thing is: our club is ours again :)

Not quite ours again...........yet....but let us remember we are back in Coventry because we as fans were united.

Come on everyone. WE stuck together, and we won. They shall not defeat us, we play (hard) till the game is won.

Not won yet, but with a few moments left, we are 1:0 up.

PUSB fans!!!

Not for the Gillingham game. It's on Sky and I'm working all weekend, so I'll just stay home and watch it online.
I'd have gone if it was a Saturday game, not on Sky, and I wasn't working.

I am really glad that we're back, obviously, but I won't be renewing my ST. The fact is that I haven't really been following the club as closely as I once did. I haven't even switched CWR on for over a year and have rarely come on this forum, whereas before I was obsessed with CCFC. That year of the habit being broken has had a big impact on how much I support the club-you can't not see your team for an entire season and expect it to have no effect.

Those that think that the club has benefited long-term by breaking the lease and getting us a cheaper rent need to consider the impact that the exile in Northampton has had on our core support. I won't be the only one who doesn't go back regularly. I've probably transformed from a ST holder who never misses a game to someone who goes to a couple of games a season. That might change if we get new owners, of course!

@ The Rev....Why are you apologising to me? You've done nothing wrong mate. I remember being in the minority with NLHWC. We turned it into being the overwhelming majority, and once again I personally have gone full circle, becoming once again in the minority. I've got broad shoulders my friend, and I look at the situation with my eyes wide open. I absofuckinglutely refuse to let my head be turned by SISU or any other poster. "We're back at the Ricoh will you be" asks the Sixfielder Torchomatic............................I've got news for ALL of you...........(In my heart) I never left.

I won't be getting a season ticket but will be going to as many games as possible (I'd love a ST but can't afford the travel from Blackpool each game. I'll certainly be at Gillingham though.

Here's something for you to mull over SBK. And anyone else who believes that they can starve SISU out.

If we get 20k+ on a regular basis to the Ricoh SISU can no longer talk about building a cheap 16k "stadium" in the Coventry "area" as it's unlikely (I hope) to get FL approval. They can no longer lump us together with a shit stadium in the wrong location that we don't want and sell us as a package in an attempt to get a return on their investment. So where does this leave them? Not much chance of buying the Ricoh and even if the option is there it's unlikely that they are willing to pay the going rate so it's unlikely to happen IMO while SISU are at the helm. So is the only option available to them, sell to the highest bidder and cut their losses? I think so. I think that they're back on plan A, get promoted to the next tier and sell.

I hate to say it but I think it's time to give them your money again as it might just be the quickest way to get rid. I hate them with a passion but now we're back home I can't see another way that they're going to go.

We need to smoke them out not starve them out.

And if we want new owners what is more attractive to a potential buyer, a team getting 15 - 20K a week or one getting less than 10K?

However...

It's maybe not the time for such debates, but there are plenty of reasons why not to give the club your money, and it's up to the club to reach out and make sure it keeps people. He might be a bit of a mentalist ;) but if SBK doesn't feel able to give the club his money then... that's a shame, as we need every fan we can get, but he certainly shouldn't be criticised for not doing so.
