If they can't get land for 10,000 jobs then they won't get it for a stadium.

The point being that both Coventry council and Warwickshire council approved the schemes. so it must have tied in with their development plans and policies. Central Govt knackered it. If there are truly a myriad of other sites then Mr Fisher should find it pretty easy but then .... there is...

If they can't get land for 10,000 jobs then they won't get it for a stadium.

Did you actually read who rejected the plan? Passed by two local councils , coventry and Warwickshire. If they did develop 10,000 jobs each earning 10K that's 100,000,000 GBP per annum in wages alone into the local economy. Only took 1,000 objections in election year to block it.

    What's to sell

Taken fromhttps://aprisonofmeasuredtime.wordpress.com/2013/04/29/coventry-city-and-sisu-capital-60-million-in-debt/ SBSL Ltd have made an allowance in the accounts for an expense listed as an impairment in the value of the Goodwill. Goodwill is an asset that appears on the Balance Sheet and...

    What's to sell

I believe SISU actually wrote off much of the good will in the published (about 10M) and it appeared as a charge. I'm Not an accountant but usually these things are written down over time not taken as single charges on the balance sheet. It would certainly make the club look more loss making...

    Who owns Coventry City?

I do not think SISU own the club at all. They run it certainly but the actual ownership is quite convoluted. I believe the actual owners are an investment fund that is controlled by SISU. (even my last statement needs to be checked) OSB58 did some digging and Identified the companies involved...

    Who wants a public enquiry?

Further to that it also shows that with the transfer of the option (valued at 1Million) SISU had no intention of the football club CCFC Ltd of ever owning the stadium or benefitting from the revenue that it might generate. CCFC Ltd being a separate company to the one SISU intended to purchase...

yes the NFL franchise the sport but on the other hand its distribution of wealth is on a much more equitable level every team gets the same budget and if you finish bottom you get the first pick of the new crop of talented players. So it ensures that any teams dominance does not last and ensures...

Extract from the Ian Jack article in the Guardian. Think instead of the thousands of workers at the base of football’s financial pyramid, the people in catering, cleaning, security and ground maintenance who are paid the minimum wage and, if their work is subcontracted, perhaps not even that...

When the clubs won't even pay the living wage to many employees they will hardly look after the lower leagues. The only Premier club to have made a firm commitment to pay a living wage to all its staff is Chelsea. Outside the top division, Hearts in Edinburgh, Luton Town and FC United in...

    Can you provide the answers?

Noggin, don't disagree with what you say and relegation to league 2 is a distinct possibility there are no guarantees for us but there are two sides to the coin here. Don't think the crowds will be much different either in League 1 playing poorly or league two we are pretty much down to those...

    Can you provide the answers?

I think that the CCFC job would be a very attractive to proposition to many managers out there. If you fail then you could hardly be expected to succeed given the constraints , if you succeed you are a hero and your stock will be sky High. Realistically the club cannot fall much further but...

    Can you provide the answers?

As much as I dislike SISU , as far as I am aware none of them are on the playing or coaching staff. Neither do any of them Batter people on the field that is down to the playing side of the club. SISU are there to organise the running of the club off the field and SP and his team determine who...

Trust calls on Coventry City FC owners Sisu to sell-up and leave

They will not go until they have exhausted their pursuit of CCC through the courts. They have at least a chance of a damages case should the JR find in their favour. if the JR goes against them then what they have will be CCFC and all the assets and liabilities + the golden share at that point...

It was interesting to listen to Morgans post match interview. Pulled no punches, opportunity lost, no prizes for second, no positives from the game the guys didn't perform. unbeaten in 17 and wants more A marked contrast from other post match interviews we get to hear.
