This is what concerns me also.

Yeah it feels like this is just a move to force hands and call bluffs. If the stadium does end up in MA's hands will the talks regarding the takeover suddenly 'break down.'

    Can we do a Forest

Well, yes that's true. But there's obviously a threshold and O'Hare and Hamer are way above that.

    Can we do a Forest

The club simply can't afford to see everyone stay either which sadly is the issue.

    Can we do a Forest

How much of O'Hare's wages could be used is a bit of a grey area. Didn't SBB or BD claim his salary was completely unsustainable for the club?

Jesus wept your name sums it up doesn't it.

    Can we do a Forest

Exactly, no one does - which is why sales are more or less a certainty in January. SISU cannot afford, or just plain refuse, to bridge the gap. Therefore if income isn't sourced from somewhere (player sales) that's what will happen.

    Can we do a Forest

Given the club's wage bill alone will be close to or is currently at 100% of its turnover and with other overheads on top of that still to pay, I'd imagine it needs somewhere in between £4m-£5m to remain solvent this season. That also doesn't include the £2m+ EFL loan that is due for repayment...

    Can we do a Forest

Him being happy is somewhat irrelevant. If a sizeable bid comes in which the club deems fair he will practically be forced out the door.

    Can we do a Forest

Based on the assumption that a white knight isn't coming in, players are likely going to be sold. Without the income earned from their transfers, the club would likely be forced into administration.

    Can we do a Forest

I'd imagine the club will probably bring in at the very least a loan as there's his wages to be utilised. Still, Gyokeres' goals alone this season have contributed to 15 points being won, and that's if you exclude the Wigan game. Him leaving will leave a massive hole in the side and our form...

    Can we do a Forest

Whether it's one or two sales is entirely dependent on how much the club receives up front on any deal and the level of interest received. It's also dependent on how much the club needs to cover its operational costs until the end of the season, coupled with whether they'll look to pay back the...

McNulty, Bayliss and Chaplin since L2 I believe.

    Can we do a Forest

I don't think so, no. Player sales are likely with any reinvestment being minimal at best. In last year's January window Forest sold none of their key players and spent millions on new additions which catapulted their position and allowed them to sustain their run. The scenarios of both clubs...

How would you set up to change it?

Why will he? Putting his appalling injury record aside, he's hardly a Championship-quality player even when fit.

No. We put Pressley on a 4 year contract.

    Fixtures wise we're fucked

Difficult window to recruit in given its a sellers market and the club will almost certainly be forced to sell a player. I doubt it'll be a particularly positive window. It's worth baring in mind that recruitment will be even more difficult if we still find ourselves in the relegation zone come...

    Fixtures wise we're fucked

I think policing perhaps has a lot to do with it to be honest. PL and EFL matches obviously require significant security/policing, ultimately drawing resources from other events down in London that will take place throughout weekend in tribute to the Queen. Same issue will obviously happen next...

The RFU seem to have a backbone then. Shame the same can't be said for the PL, EFL and NL.

It's not their decision, I haven't said that, but I'd be astounded if they didn't strongly recommend to the governing bodies that fixtures should be postponed.
