Fuck me, let's all queue up for a vaccine to protect us against Alec Baldwin!!!Says it all when you realise Alec Baldwin's killed more people than this Moronic variant
If it's something that can be discredited, why wouldn't you?you'd just find some way of discrediting it.
Its a mess. I've no idea why I could go online and make an appointment for a weeks time, pre-pandemic, but now I can't go online and book a phone appointment, or even book one for later this week if I speak to someone at the surgery. If you phone up and they've got no appointments left today you're told to phone again tomorrow! Also the online Patient Access system my surgery uses for appointments, repeat prescriptions etc increasingly pushes you to private providers for things that are available on the NHS.
The whole system needs looking at. Why have we not got one system that covers the whole country that every GP uses? Surely there would be a huge economy of scale there. When you think about it the system is a joke, every time I got to the hospital I have to fill out a paper form with my medical history, medications etc. How is that not available at the touch of a button? When I was told to go straight to the hospital by the doctor I was given a letter to take with me as there was no other way of letting the hospital know why I was attending!
Does everyone with an alternative view to you automatically have to have a diseased mind?If it's something that can be discredited, why wouldn't you?
Of course, you're not linking anything for it to be discredited, so we can only assume it's the ramblings of a diseased mind...

Crack on with dying from my third jab according to you. If it happens I'll leave you my login details in my will. I just have 2 rules.. 1. Never like a post from O'Day 2. Don't get too involved in the covid threa... ohSo you can cracking on with what exactly?
What is not having a booster going to stop you doing?
I'll explain to you critical thinking.Does everyone with an alternative view to you automatically have to have a diseased mind?
Or does saying that make you feel better, in your own choice to have the vaccine?
Think you're mixing up two sets of figures. The ones you see on the news every day are the 'deaths within 28 days of a positive test' so will include some people who didn't die of covid but with it while excluding some who died of covid but more than 28 days after their test.
There's then the ONS figures which go off cause of death listed on the death certificate.
We use the first set of figures as the second set take months to come out. Its not perfect but given the sample size is more than good enough to look at trends.
The latest ONS figures, released on 7th December, are the provisional figures for deaths up to 19th November, we can't wait that long for data before making any decisions. We've already got weeks of lag between infection > cases > hospitalisations > deaths.
It's a nightmare trying to get an appointment and pretty dangerous. However when it comes to the booster and jabs they get in touch without me needing to hold for ages every morning. Funny that.
As it stands, I'd get more priority getting a booster than if I had a lump on my bollock.
Did you get it done via the NHS website? Not having any luck myself?Booster booked for Christmas Eve

Let's be honest, linking anything would be a pointless exercise for you wouldn't it, you'd just find some way of discrediting it.
You need to discredit it because you've had the vaccines and you can't live with the thought that you may have issues down the line as a result.
If you were 100% happy you wouldn't need to be so versiferous in an argument that your trying to convince yourself is BS.
As I've said on numerous occasions now, just sit tight and the truth will start to come out.
If you can't wait, then do your own research. It's not hard to find.
This is also part of the issue:

He clearly didn't say somebody has died from it, he said "with it".
This is a massive part of the issue. The scaremongering is fairly obvious and I doubt much of the media will ask questions before whipping things up.
There was similar the other day. Modelling was done for various scenarios as so much is unknown with the variant but the media all went with the worse case scenario. This is also part of the issue:

What issue, Nick?
Do you think there's a conspiracy here to overstate Covid impacts?
If so, to who's benefit is it?
Strange how Boris is the voice of truth now.The issue is how things are spun.
Johnson clearly and carefully said somebody had died "with" it, not from it or because of it. People are in hospital "with it".
Then within a couple of hours you get the headlines like that where a word changes from "with" to "from"... It's not a conspiracy to point that out.
It clearly benefits the govt at the minute to not have any attention on them.

No you are right, some of the newspapers are ghouls. It's what sells I suppose.I am just comparing what he said and what's being reported to get people scared. The headlines say one thing, dig deep in the article and it says "with"

Mate, I've got no time for this Government, but underplaying the seriousness of what we're facing isn't smart either.
We're in a bad place right now, with every indication that it's going to get worse if we aren't a bit more careful.
This government has consistently been behind the curve up until now, and the continual muddied messaging has likely cost thousands of lives, if not more.
I'm not sure that making things more opaque or suggesting media conspiracies is entirely helpful.
Worrying people into behaving slightly more sensibly may not be an entirely bad approach, fwiw, it certainly had an impact on the behaviour around AIDS in the 80s. Of course there was no Twitter or Facebook in those days to tell people that it was all a government myth.
What I don't get is how the government and boris seem to only tell the truth when it comes to this?
It's turned out they have mates with PPE contracts making millions, they have all been having parties and getting models way out.
Yet when it comes to COVID and a Vaccine they must be telling the truth completely and are not trying to cover up the damning stuff about them at all.
It is simple distraction, it's no different to when SISU would love the Trust asking silly stuff as then people would argue about how they aren't buying Ronaldo or they are taking billions from the club. It stops people discussing or getting too close to the actual issues.
It's not much different now all the talk is about who is going to wear a mask, who is going to get a booster and how everybody is selfish. What parties? What PPE contracts?
I'm pretty sure if a couple of years ago you had said Hancock was involved with a mate who was getting millions for PPE you would be called a crackpot.....
Can someone answer me why we get told we are following the sciences yet we are not following what the South African scientist who discovered Omicron says, Same with WHO and EMA . This is SA's current case fertility rate
The thread you linked gives the answer in part:Can someone answer me why we get told we are following the sciences yet we are not following what the South African scientist who discovered Omicron says, Same with WHO and EMA . This is SA's current case fertility rate
I'm pinning all my hopes on the South African lads being correct about it, we're still obviously in the wait and see stage but there's been no confirmed horror that was already there by now with the Delta one tearing its way through India
The thread you linked gives the answer in part:
The 'restrictions' (in reality, nothing really) are to slow the spread. It turns out to be highly effective at spreading, which is what they're concerned about, in that even if it is indeed milder, if it takes over incredibly quickly, then that in itself could overwhelm the health service.
As such, they're also fast-tracking the booster programme, so as much protection as possible is there, so in an ideal world they don't have to introduce any noticable restrictions, as it can then spread with limited consequence. That last part, we wait to find out...
